Madras Institute of Technology has a placement cell, which is responsible for coordinating placement-related activities of the students. MIT Chennai placement cell is a part of the Center for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC) of Anna University. CUIC looks after the placement activities of the college. For Madras Institute of Technology placement, CUIC conducts industrial training, industrial visits, faculty empowerment programmes and industrial projects, core competency development, soft skills development, inplant training during summer and winter vacation and other training programmes for students. Core, IT and ITES are the major sectors recruiting the candidates of MIT Chennai. Madras Institute of Technology placement is conducted every year and several companies are invited to the campus for the placement drive.
