Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune and Ramchandra International Institute of Management, both offer different courses. MIT Pune offers Engineering courses, whereas RIIM Pune offers Management courses. Both are good in their own field.

But if we compare them on a broad basis irrespective to the courses they offer and on the basis of placements then, RIIM Pune is good in terms of percentage of students placed and salary offered.

In RIIM Pune, various well renowned companies like Byju's, ITC, Johnson and Johnson, AMUL, future group, Paytm, Khadim's, Tech Mahindra, Oppo, CCD, etc. visit the campus for recruitments. The average salary offered to the candidates is INR  5.2 Lakh per annum with the highest salary of INR 9.8 Lakhs per annum and the placement percentage is more than 80%

In MIT Pune, various well renowned companies like NVIDIA, WIPRO, Mercedes Benz, Reliance, ONGC, Whirlpool, Larsen & Turbo, Microsoft, HP, LG, Tech Mahindra, Tata, etc. visit the campus for recruitments. The average salary offered to the candidates is around INR 3.5 Lakhs per annum with highest package of INR 13 Lakhs per annum.

Basically , MIT Group of Institutions consist of 3 engineering colleges.

1. Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT)
2. M.I.T. College of Engineering (MITCOE)
3. MIT Academy of Engineering (MITAOE)
   
   All 3 colleges are affiliated to the Pune University. MIT & MICOE are located in the heart of Pune city i.e. in Kothrud area while MITAOE is about 20 Kms away from city i.e. at Alandi. But still MITAOE may lead in cut offs because now its an “Autonomous Institute” (from 2016–17 batch).
   Fees-
   Fees is nearly same for all 3 colleges , they can differ only by 4–5 thousands.
   Life at Campus-
   If you are addicted to city life, then you must opt for Kothrud Campus. Here,You will get the real feel of “Pune City Life” as its one of the most prestigious areas of Pune. You will get all variety of food stuff, stationary,hostels, flats on rent and all other facilities which you will need. While at Alandi campus you will surely miss many of these things. But both campuses are very clean and beautiful. The dome shaped buildings make them different from others.
   Events-
   MIT, Kothrud is known for the variety of events which it hosts. Huge number of Students across the country attend various Technical events such as Texephyr, Nirmitee, Tesla & other Non Technical events such as Summit, Bhartiya Chhatra Sansad etc. every year.
   Faculty-
   Faculty of all the 3 campuses is nearly same in quality but most of the experienced teachers are at main MIT college. But don’t worry, because in engineering, your own study & hard work matter the most .
   Placements-
   MIT institutes follow central placement system. Placement procedure is generally held at main MIT kothrud campus hence students of Alandi campus have to travel every time and come at Kothrud.
   Looking at the stats of last few years, Placements of Comp, It, Entc are far better than other branches .But it may change in coming future.

Salary as per analytics india magazine is as follows:-

0-4years experienced folks with all knowledge of r, python, excel can earn upto 10-12lacs that too from big shot mncs whereas startups will give u around 5-8lacs depending upon the nature and status of the startup.

I would suggest you to first learn by doing, go for internships in a startups to gain lots of exposure in all aspects of technologies and real world issues and them jump onto big mncs with your wider skillsets.

Even recently they have launched online courses on pg data science and business analytics for 8-12months duration, fees very less plus earn a degree from a aicte approved institute,placement support same as full time batch and every month one industry expert will come n take session via VLP.

The courses at iim, isb and praxis are very well structured and delivered and all are preferable for atleast 2yrs experienced folks but they are all distance learning courses via VLP mode. They are fabulous in their contents, facilities, faculties, support,brand..
