There's something magical in this place, which will make you fall in love with it. As far as academics is considered, it finally comes down to YOU! It's your choice whether to take advantage of your independence, drink and enjoy life out of limits and eventually flunk in the exams or work hard and pass with flying colours. Let me tell you, there are a hell lot of hard-workers here, who really want to learn engineering, score well and shape their careers. You'll also find the 'party-type' people who enjoy all the time but still study hard during exams and score decently.

In my opinion Manipal is overall a good college with no so good faculty. The students here are of multiple cultural background which allows us to have a exposure. Lot's of clubs, student projects etc. allows one to involve in different co-curricular activities and develope themselves in a good way and get a better exposure of how an industry work and how things work invthe better ways As we learn time management in the college so it is a very good thing in the college to learn as its a new beginner and early start that will help in the future upcoming startups

People from all parts of the country, actually even the world, come to study in Manipal. So the diversity is great. You will find all kinds of people ranging from cool people from Delhi to very sincere, bookworms of the South. And of course, there are the rich, spoilt brats from the middle east. The girl:boy ratio is approximately 40:60 (Boys are you reading??) Campus life is great. There couldn't be one pass out from Manipal who wouldn't want to go back! There are so many beaches nearby which everyone should make a point to visit. Ragging scene really isn't there, it's banned by college. There is almost zero ragging on and off campus. The seniors are least bothered about the juniors. But sometimes, friendly ragging does take place, which is nothing to be worried about and there is no need to call the anti-ragging squad for that

MIT, in fact Manipal as a whole, is that one perfect little place that you want to call your second home right after leaving your parents' home. It's just enough of everything- responsibilities and fun. MIT campus is huge and ever expanding. So much so that some boys hostels are barely hanging on the edge of the hill on which the town is situated :P We girls had it easier with the 'famous' 13th block and even newer blocks being relatively close to the academic buildings. Speaking of academic buildings, or "blocks", Academic Block 1 (AB1) is older than time itself! But the labs situated there and the newly built AB5 are state of the art. Student life is abundantly busy if you join a couple of cultural/technical clubs and find ways to keep yourself engaged. Otherwise, there are a zillion places around to just chill or eat out after classes, almost all at a walking distance from the campus (potato lovers at Snack Shack are a must have for foodies). Just don't forget to carry an umbrella. Ever. It rains heavily and without prior warnings most of the times.I would say Manipal offers you a lot more than subject matter knowledge, grab it with both hands!
