Mata Gujri Mahila Mahavidyalaya provides the opportunity for discovery and growth for the young aspiring students who venture, often from smaller towns in search of dreams that would give them access to high-quality education. We provide a safe environment for our girls to pursue their academic careers. Life in a hostel is about stepping into the space of responsible citizenship. The balance between rights and duties is carefully calibrated. It is also about being a caring community that celebrates diversity across regional, linguistic, class, religious and ideological differences and embraces an identity of womanhood that is confident, poised, and ready to grapple with the challenges and opportunities that await them in this century. The college hostel provides a home away from home for a considerable number of outstation students. The college runs two hostels constructed with the appropriate ambiance of the rooms which are spacious, airy, and well-lit, toilets, dining halls, indoor games, television room, lounge mess, and open courtyard. The hostel accommodates approx. 200 students. The hostel atmosphere fosters the basic human qualities adds discipline and good manners so that each girl contributes her part in the maintenance of a home-like atmosphere. The prayer room caters to the spiritual growth of the students. Apart from the regular facilities of the mess, T.V. hall, Library, provision for Indoor and Outdoor Games, and Visitor’s room, regular physician visits provide regular medical aid to hostellers as and when required. The hostel authorities are dedicated and vigilant and ensure foolproof security. Every effort is made to dissolve the grievances of the students if any, through proper communication with the parents and teachers. Hostel life thus inculcates social responsibilities amongst the students and trains them mentally, morally, and spiritually for a successful and practical life Admission to Hostel is granted at the same time as admission to the college. Those who wish to get admission to the hostel are required to fill the admission form for the same.

The library presently boasts of impressive stock of books. New books are added to the library through the course of each academic year. It also subscribes to a range of national and international journals, making it resourceful for students of MGM, especially online, through DELNET. The general library with its open-rack system, spacious reading room, and reference section provides an atmosphere conducive to academic work. The Library staff is always available to assist students in finding the material needed for their coursework and other related pursuits.

A healthy body is a prerequisite for a healthy mind. So we provide facilities for athletic events, indoor and outdoor games, and other recreational activities. These sports activities keep our students healthy and in good spirits and help them grow strong and fit through the college years, that is, we create a balanced atmosphere of academic, cultural, and sports activities for the overall personality development of the students. The students are encouraged to compete in a variety of sports events and games organized by the university. Their potential in these events is utilized to the maximum and as a result, the students bring many laurels to the institution attaining positions in these competitions. The college states with pride seven “Ekalave Puruskars” earned perseveringly by the students. Mata Gujri College has a regular sports officer to promote budding talents in the field of sports and games. There are a variety of outdoor and indoor games for the students to choose from. For exceptionally talented students, who have excelled in a particular sport, more facilities are provided under the direction of the sports committee of the college. Those who have distinguished themselves at the international, national, and state-level are given fee concession at the time of admission provided they produce documentary proof.
