In 2008, The Megha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women Ghatkesar was established and is autonomous. This college is approved as per AICTE norms and is a women's College. This college is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The college offers Diploma., undergraduate and postgraduate courses to students who want to pursue in the fields of Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Production Engineering Management and Business Administration and others. 

Megha Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women Ghatkesar, also called MIETW Ghatkesar, courses include Diploma., B.E/B.Tech., M.E/M. Tech., M.C.A., and M.B.A.. Admission into these courses is given based on the scores acquired by the students in the TS-POLYCET/TS-EAMCET/TS-PGECET/TS-ICET exams. Aspirants are advised to meet the MIETW Ghatkesar Cut-off as prescribed by the management of the college, wherever applicable.

The college also has a placement cell, which offers its students placement opportunities in diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses with a good salary package.
