Nadar Saraswathi College of Arts and Science, Theni Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Girl’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The hostel instigates 40 rooms with 250 students. The hostel at present has the competence to accommodate 347 students with 120 rooms. The separate well-sophisticated dormitory is available for Matriculation School students. Every student is provided with individual cot and chair. A well-sophisticated dining hall is available for the students to take their food. Each student is provided with a balanced diet of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. The mess is run on the dividing system. A regular visit to physician is arranged. The amenities for indoor and outdoor games are also available.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has a library facility for all students.library have been air-conditioned. The main aim of the Central Library is to provide information services and access to print and E-resources to support the Scholarly and informational needs of the Institute Community. The fully computerized central library is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of books, print and E-journals, CD-ROMs, audio, video cassettes, and project reports, etc. The open Access system is being followed in the Central Library.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

This Lab is having well equipped centralized computer Centre to cater to the needs of high profile students and faculty in the college. It is housed in a magnificent state of art building having specialized laboratories to provide a variety of platforms and computing environments for UG, PG students. The Centre processes 400 systems with Core i3 processors, Core Duo processors, Pentium IV processors and with 4 IBM servers

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has Excellent Transportation is one of the special features of our institution. The college owns a fleet of 23 buses and 1 van which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in and around the town. This is the only college in the Theni District to have two air-conditioned Language Labs at the cost of Rs.30 Lakhs. This lab provides interactive Language lab recorder and headset for each student. In addition to this, the lab has been embedded with 32 cabins for providing privacy to the students. The aim of the lab is to impart a culture of accuracy in language for communication by giving ample practice. The second lab is equipped with Audiovisual Aid to play VCD’s to help the students learn effective speaking. The lab also provides voice recording for the students to test themselves. ETNL software has been installed for the progress of conversation practice for the benefit of students.
