Good infrastructure, good utilisation of a small space. Colourful graffitis and art and vibrant atmosphere boosts creativity. Class rooms should be in a better condition, benches and desks are a little uncomfortable to sit on.
Academics can be better than the present system , more exposure on research should be ensured. More than beautiful products, creativity in concept should be valued. More than focusing on completing the syllabus they should focus on the concepts.
Placement cell should invest more money and time and should call the companies who are ready to pay a good amount of salary. More companies should come for accessory design department. Interior based companies should hire.
Not that a good value for money. There is only 1 bus. Transport should increase that the college provides. Should give more exposure in terms of technology. Many new techniques should be taught and given exposure to.
Good experience, as far as celebrations and activities are concerned. Not good placements. Should focus on good internships. Good companies hire but don’t pay enough and exposure to industry is not up to the mark.
They should bring in more faculties.
Yes, the college infrastructure is very good. All the lab facilities are available. There are enough classrooms for all the batches and departments and adequate amout of lab hours are provided for students to complete their work.
I am studying Knitwear Design . The faculties are highly qualified and provide us with all the required guidance in every project. the college provides great platform for showcasing your talents and gives enough exposure to learn new things
It is a very good college.the placements in the college are good, companies like aditya Birla group also come for placements and also for internships. College provides great opportunities for placements .
NIFT BANGALORE has all the necessary infrastructure ,facilities and equipments. We have Wi-Fi connections in our library ...in area of recreation and mostly everywhere in the campus.Cleanliness is maintained .
I'm a textile design student currently in third year .I like the course ...It's a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical unlike most courses in NIFT. It's a mix of bit of science and designing ...so it's great .
Placements are not that great in college ...mostly students get placements from out side college through there own contacts .The college is not playing a major role in placements basically .the package is also not that great
2 lakhs per year ..I don't think I'm getting my money's worth ....for a government college it's too much.
Campus life is great ..you'll get too see fashion show happening 24 *7 and people doing whatever they want ...some are drawing ,some in dramatics ,some just roaming around ccd and it's great.
Yes, my college has all the necessary infrastructure and well-equipped classrooms. My college has resource rooms, CAD labs, basketball grounds, and the best is the amphitheatre. The living space is clean and the food is hygienic.
I am studying Textile Design under B.des and I think the quality of teaching good but could be improved a little bit. There has been a recent update in the curriculum and I feel that will give more exposure to students.
The percentage of students placed is quite enough and the highest salary package is offered to Bachelors of Technology. The average salary offered is the package of 3.5-4 lac, which not enogh but is good enough for a fresher to start off.
My course costs 4 lac per year and it is somewhat worth it but not totally. I feel there could be more freedom in terms of assignments give as there are restriction we have to adhere on. Also, there are a lot of things that could be learnt watching youtube tutorials so that some things should be made exclusive by the colleges for the students to learn there only.
Campus life is pretty good and there are always some or the other events going on keeping the students engaged. Teachers and staff are very supportive and help the students alot. My college is located in South Bangalore and I feel the place is safe.
Yes, my college has all the necessary equipment. It is one of the best colleges in India. We have the finest infrastructure in Nift Bangalore with an open gallery, amphitheatre etc.,The facilities are well used and well maintained. The food in the mess is ok.
The teachers in our department are good and they have great understanding with students.I am doing my bachelors in fashion technology. The curriculum is fyn with me but the college can do better than this.Yeah we are trained to understand industry standards.
I am currently in my 1st year. The placements are fine as of what i have heard from my seniors though it cant be said 100% placements are guaranteed. I don't have idea about the salary package also but the minimum salary students were placed last year was 35k per month.
The price can be said as bit higher for a central government institute.
One of the best experience in my life.
Good college for pursuing your interest in fashion industry.
The college is at the developing area of the city. It has all the amenities required for a fashion institute. We also have separate labs for each department. The environment of campus is a very beautiful one. There is availability of resource centre, canteen, cafe and wifi.
Currently I am pursuing bachelors in fashion technology. The staffs are good for our department and also we have a good curriculum which is better than the previous one. The college should keep up with the growing industry by regularly updating their curriculum like now.
Every year we have placements taking place in our campus. The companies are also all top ranked in their field. I am not sure about the placement percentage because I am currently in my first year. But average of 90% are most likely to be placed.
There is no sports center. Just a half basket ball court. No open ground. No swimming pool. Even hostel is merely just a building. The mess is also very congested. The overall area of the campus is very less. It just stands miniature Infront of other colleges. Else it's aesthetic and clean.
Curriculum is well updated. We are often given choices in subjects based on our interests. However, co-curricular subjects which are guided by external faculties, bring down the grades of the students single handedly.
Average salary offered by companies is very low. It merely depends upon the luck of the students. The real side is never shown to them, it's just a world of wonders. They are never told that this subject of yours is never gonna pay you. There's a hell lot of struggle. Even if our college comes under Ministry of Textiles, there is no importance given to the placements.
WiFi is poor, classroom chairs are very rusty. Hostels are not maintained well, the water from the cooler is not good. Library is good .. the campus is kept well clean at all time of the day. The computers have the oldest Version of software.
Good syllabus though the syllabus is said to be updated and revised for our batch, we still feel like it's not what the industry would look forward to from us. Either the work load is too much or too less.
Still a student in 2nd year so i don't have a proper clue on the quality and percentage of students that get placed in our college. Alk I know is placements are done in 3 places Bangalore Delhi and Mumbai. Students form all over 14 campuses can apply in any centre.
I am an NRI and I pay thrice the amount a regular seat student pays. The college infrastructure according to how much we all pay is very bad. The computers in the computer lab are of apple desktop but only have Windows software in it. How deciving can that be?
We are constantly having college activities so it's pretty active. Every month we have a morning function from each department to make it active. We have DJ nights too after every festival that is celebrated in college.
Overall the college can do way better with the amount of fees they take from us.
Well maintained college, with several labs for garment construction, pattern making, weaving, printing and dyeing. An auditorium that fits about 1000 people. Campus is always kept clean by the cleaning staff.
Teaching staff is good. The curriculum is upto date like introduction of artificial intelligence and industrial engineering into the syllabus is very forward thinking. IDM and Deepening specialization is another plus point. The students gets to choose their interest and study more about it.
The packages offered are not satisfactory compared to the amount paid for the education. A non NRI UG student without scholarship pays around 10Lakh fees at the end of the four year course, to be offered a salary package of 4Lakh average. Also 100% placements are not present
The college infrastructure seems to be fine. They have modernly classrooms, digiboards and proper powersupply and ventilation. They do lack in a few tools and equipments from the labs, but I hope they would buy them soon.different labs and classrooms depending upon the course are present in the infrastructure.the thing I like the most in my college is the ambience and the colorful walls, every year the students are made to paint the walls which makes the college look refreshing and new.
I would never complain about the teaching at my institute, because I feel we are very gifted to have such experienced faculty.every department has a department head and a helper along with the teaching faculties.i really respect and appreciate the idea of having a faculty as a mentor for every student. This not only motivates the students but also helps in overcoming problems they face in the institute, because alot of the students are from very far places and they miss their family and home.
The quality of the placements seems to be pretty moderate.i would appreciate if they let many more companies for placements.all the students who study here are well deserving,so it's pretty competitive for everyone to get a job.
For a central government college I feel the tution fee and hostel fee is pretty high. This is because alot of government institutions work on a lesser course fee.though they have a lot of schemes, not everyone can apply for those so I hope they decrease the amount for every semester.
College life is real fun, people from different states study here.so it's really nice knowing them and getting along with them.i stay in hostel and I would say this is the best days of my life.we learn alot from our peers .
