NIFT Bangalore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

In the NIFT Bangalore hostel accommodation is available for girls only. NIFT Bangalore facilities include a girls’ hostel on the campus premises. There are several facilities available at the girls’ hostel such as the hostel rooms provided with cots, almirahs, tables, and chairs. Students are advised to procure their own pillow, mattress, bedsheets, and other necessary items like a mug, plastic bucket, etc on their own. On each floor, there is a water cooler with an aqua guard. The solar facility is also available for hot water. A doctor is available on the campus every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday during specified timings and anytime on call during emergencies. Wi-Fi connectivity is available and a security and surveillance facility is available 24 hours. There is a housekeeping service within specified timings in the girls’ hostel. On the other hand, there is an indoor sports facility available in the girls’ hostel.

A cafeteria is located on campus and provides fresh, hygienic, and nutritional meals at moderate prices. The cafeteria is a perfect area for students to relax and engage with their peers because of the variety of cuisine offered and the friendly ambiance. Almost all cafeterias provide Wi-Fi access, allowing students to utilize their leisure time to the fullest.

On-campus medical assistance is offered. Students have access to an infirmary/sickbay on the NIFT Bangalore campus. A doctor and nurse are available to attend to the general medical concerns of the students. A student psychologist is also available on campus every Wednesday to counsel the students.

NIFT Bangalore campus has completely Wi-Fi-connected setups that provide students and faculty with secure internet access.

The computer labs are well-equipped with the latest equipment such as macintosh workstations, desktop computers, plotters, digitizers, image scanners, wide-format printers, sound mixers, and digital cameras, along with many other things. The National Knowledge Network (NKN) provides 100Mbps/1Gbps connectivity to the NIFT Bangalore campus.

Students have access to departmental laboratories at the institute. The photography lab includes the most advanced hardware used by domain experts.    It has the latest suspended Elinchrom lights and motorised backdrops, as well as a variety of accessories such as diffusing materials, extensions and radio triggers, Manfrotto tilt-pan tripods, and other items that help students learn more effectively.
