PIET Vadodara Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a hostel capacity of 7000+ students, infrastructure has an in-house residential complex with separate arrangements for boys. All hostels have 24-hour water (hot water on demand in the winter), electricity, WiFi, and other amenities. Students have access to on-campus services such as the Gymnasium, Swimming Pool, Open-air theatre, Banking Service, and Hospital. Separate hostel blocks for NRIs and international students are also available, each with an air conditioner and other modern amenities. The hostel residents have access to five Messes on campus, which serve nutritious breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner.

The college has 350 bedded Parul Sevashram Hospital and 250 bedded Parul Ayurveda Hospital is operational 24×7 on the campus and students have full access to all the healthcare facilities including emergency medical care. Hospitals are equipped with all Clinical Departments, Advanced Radiology & Pathology Department, 20 bedded Intensive Care Unit, Operation Theatres, Dialysis Units, Physiotherapy Unit, and special neurological unit. Students can avail themselves of discounted medicines from the 24-hour dispensary within the hospital.

The college provides a fitness center, which has a modern gymnasium aerobics arena with sophisticated equipment, steam bath, sauna bath, hot showers, and changing room, spread over an area of more than 5000 square feet. A team of qualified fitness trainers guides students at the gymnasium as well as for aerobics. A full-time dietician and nutritionist are also on hand at the fitness center to advise students on how to eat a balanced and nutritious diet.

The college has a well-maintained library. It has ten libraries with over 24,000 books, 15825 online journals/magazines, 1315 print journals/magazines, and 30 news dailies. The reference section has encyclopedias, books on general knowledge and competitive exams, dictionaries, previous volumes of journals/magazines. It also has DELNET remote access to thousands of libraries as well as various reference and plagiarism software. All of the libraries are linked to the central library, “Gyanoday Bhawan,” and are completely computerized with a barcode system for book issues and return. Every year over 20,000 students use the book back facility at the campus libraries.

The college encouraged to engage in a range of indoor and outdoor sports activities. On the campus, students have access to the Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology facilities such as a cricket ground, basketball court, volleyball court, handball court, badminton court, football field, table tennis, chess, and carom. Under the leadership of a dedicated team of Athletic Educators, the students have won multiple inter-college sports tournaments. Indoor and outdoor activities/competitions are held annually at the Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology to provide a good forum for students to demonstrate their athletic abilities.

The college places a high emphasis on providing hygienic, homey, and healthy food to all students and scholars. Boys and Girls hostels have large dining halls and messes that serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to the regular menu, with a special Sunday diet. Additionally, there are food courts and college canteens where students can get tea, coffee, cold drinks, ice cream, cookies, and a variety of foods at any time of day.

The college is having a lavish auditorium possessing over 600 sqm carpet area and a seating capacity of 420. It is centrally air-conditioned and equipped with incandescent lights, good acoustics, audio-visual aids such as microphones, audio/video recording, video playback, slide projector, cue light system, audio/video feeds for camera crews, fixed talkback facility, additional talkback, headsets, video tripod, etc. Moreover, there are 6 seminar halls having varied seating capacities of 50 to 175. These facilities cater to multiple uses such as meetings of students & faculty members, convocations, presentations, short-term training programs, workshops, conferences, expert/guest lectures, cultural activities, celebrations, functions, gatherings, etc.

The college provides a transport facility for over 4000 students, 1000 staff members residing in various regions of Vadodara city safely & comfortably commute every day to Parul University by 63 buses and 20 passenger vans. Daily Bus facilities from cities nearby Vadodara such as Anand, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, Karajan, Bharuch are also available to students and staff members. Our Bus drivers are highly experienced and are licensed by the RTO to drive college buses to ensure the utmost safety of both the students and staff members. Bus Facility is also available for the students & faculty members for their industrial visits, field trips, and other activities.
