Graphics Pathway: Shaping the Message
The Graphics Design pathway offers students an opportunity to pursue professional development in graphics, illustration, sequential art, typography, image processing, motion graphics and narration through variety of formats. The course’s key competencies place emphasis on originality and conceptual development. Students work with traditional print media as well as contemporary digital formats which are essential skills for today’s market.
Graduates of this pathway will have the knowledge and skill to pursue professional careers as: graphic designers, typographers, illustrators, storyboard artists, print and layout designers, motion graphic artists, and two-dimensional animators.
Interaction Pathway: Beyond Proto-typing
Are you curious in understanding how technology works? Do you enjoy building things for how they work as well as how they look? Interaction Design is an interdisciplinary pathway where students learn how to build, analyse, and evaluate digital products, services, and tools. The competencies this course strives to develop in students blend technical comprehension with research methodologies to develop a unique conceptual approach to problem solving.
Graduates of this pathway will be equipped to pursue a range of careers from Information Design to Human Computer Interface development.
Animation & VFX Pathway: Conceptualize, design, develop, and more
Animation and Visual Effects is an interdisciplinary pathway in which students will learn the nuance of creating rich, immersive digital experiences. This course explores various techniques utilized by professionals in telling impactful ideas and stories through production and post-production processes.
Graduates of this pathway will be able to create media content for a range of delivery systems, and can pursue careers in fields such as: visual effects (VFX) for film, commercials, and TV; 2D and 3D animation; gaming; training & simulation; product visualization; virtual and augmented realities.
