RGCET Admission Details: Eligibility, Dates, Application, Fees

Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. RGCET admission is offered to B.Tech, M.Tech M.B.A and M.C.A programmes. To be eligible for RGCET admission, candidates should fulfill the required eligibility criteria. The RGCET admissions to the B.Tech, M.Tech,  M.B.A and M.C.A are offered on the basis of merit previous qualifying examination made by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry. Further, qualified candidates who meet the cutoff have to participate in the CENTAC counselling process. Final admission is done after the documents get verified and payment of RGCET admission fees. RGCET UG Admissions

Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry offers six undergraduate programmes. The RGCET courses at the UG level include B.Tech Biomedical Engineering, B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering and B.Tech Information Technology. The course duration of the RGCET Pondicherry B.Tech programme is 4 years. The eligibility criteria for RGCET B.Tech admission is that the candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology and obtained at least 45% marks in the above subjects taken together.

RGCET B.Tech Admission Procedure

• To be eligible for the RGCET B.Tech admission process, candidates have to meet the eligibility criteria. 

• Candidates have to fill in the online application form for CENTAC. 

• Admission to the B.Tech courses is based on the merit of the qualifying exam. 

• Candidates should have secured the minimum marks in their qualifying exam.

• A merit list of the candidates is prepared. 

• Candidates meeting the cutoff score are required to participate in the CENTAC counselling process.

• Selection of the candidates is made on a merit basis as per the marks obtained by them in the qualifying exam and choices made by them in the counselling process.

• Final admission is confirmed after verification of documents and RGCET admission fee payment. 

RGCET PG Admissions

Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry offers four postgraduate programmes. The PG courses offered by RGCET Pondicherry are M.C.A, M.B.A, M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering and M.Tech Wireless Communication. The course duration of the RGCET Pondicherry M.C.A, M.Tech and M.B.A programme is 2 years. The required eligibility for RGCET M.C.A admission is that the candidates must hold a bachelor's degree of a minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level. Secured at least 50% at the qualifying examination.

RGCET Admission Procedure- M.C.A/ M.B.A

• Candidates have to fill out the application form of the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC). 

• Admission is offered based on the merit of the qualifying examination. 

• Selection of the candidates is done on a merit basis as per the aggregate of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam.

• A merit list is prepared on the basis of their marks in the qualifying examination.

• Further, candidates who meet the cutoff score are eligible to participate in the CENTAC counselling process.

• Candidates need to get all their documents verified and pay the requisite eligibility criteria. 

RGCET M.Tech Admission Procedure

• For RGCET M.Tech admission, candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria. 

• Next, candidates have to fill out the CENTAC application form. 

• Admission to M.Tech will be done by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry.

• A merit list prepared by CENTAC will be based on the score of the candidate's score in cl.

• Qualified candidates have to appear for the counselling process which will be conducted by CENTAC. 

• Final admission is be done based on merit basis as per the marks obtained by them in the qualifying exam and choices made by them in the counselling process.

• Candidates should get their documents verified and pay the course fees.
