RCET Bhilai Courses

Rungta College of Engineering and Technology Bhilai courses are offered in the fields of engineering, technology, management, computer science and research. The courses are approved by AICTE. Candidates first have to meet the eligibility criteria in order to take admission to the programmes offered by the college. Diploma programme requires a minimum of 35% marks in class 10th. For RCET Bhilai UG courses leading to B.Tech, candidates should have a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Technical vocational courses as optional subjects. 60% aggregate marks for M.C.A., 50% marks for M.B.A and 49.5% marks for M.Tech in graduation in the relevant streams are the required eligibility criteria for the RCET Bhilai PG programmes. A minimum of 55% marks in the master’s degree is required for the RCET Bhilai Ph.D programme. RCET Bhilai Admissions

The admissions to the college are offered on the basis of marks of the entrance test- CG PPT for diploma programmes, CG PET or JEE Main for B.Tech programmes, GATE for M.Tech programmes and CMAT/CAT/MAT/XAT/JMET/ATMA for M.B.A programme. For Rungta College of Engineering and Technology Bhilai admission to the Ph.D programmes, the institute accepts scores of the entrance test, conducted by Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai. RCET Bhilai Cutoff

The cutoff is the minimum score required by the candidates for admission to the undergraduate programme, B.Tech. Rungta College of Engineering and Technology Bhilai cutoff is released as opening and closing scores. The college considers the scores of CG PET and accordingly releases the cutoff. Candidates meeting the RCET Bhilai cutoff are eligible to appear for counselling. The counselling round is conducted for the shortlisted candidates to allocate the seats.

Rungta CO-WIN Scholarship (RCS), Sibling Scholarship, PG Scholarship Scheme for SC/ST Students for Pursuing Professional Courses, Pre-matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities, ISHAN UDAY - Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region etc are the scholarships, which students can avail at the college. 1. Rungta CO-WIN Scholarship (RCS) - Rungta Group in its Continuous Commitment to contribute to the society through its CSR initiatives, has launched special Rungta CO-Win Scholarship (RCS).
2. Sibling Scholarship - A sibling discount of 15% to the second sibling and 25% to each successive sibling for the incoming sibling.

3. ISHAN UDAY - Special Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region- Under this scheme, parental income should not exceed Rs. 4,50,000 per annum. Those candidates eligible for the scholarship are awarded Rs. 5,400 for a general degree course and Rs.7,800 for technical/medical/professional/paramedical courses.

4. PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child- This scholarship is awarded to girl students enrolled in PG courses and aged 30 or less. Under this scheme, Rs. 36,200 per annum for a period of two years is awarded.

The placement cell of the college helps in the placement of the final year students. The Rungta College of Engineering and Technology Bhilai placement cell also conducts placement training like personality development training, soft-skills training, industrial visits, guest lectures, group discussions, mock interviews, etc. For the placement of the students, recruiters are invited to the campus. They conduct pre-placement talks and final screening to shortlist the candidates.
