RVCE is ranked no.1 in karnataka (excluding NITK) according to the KCET & COMEDK cutoff makes the student first choice college. It is known for its Placement which is at par with NIT Surathkal for Circuit branches (like-CS/IT, ECE , EEE , EIE ,TE etc.).But for the core branches (like-MECH,CIVIL,CHEM,IEM & Production) comes just next to the Nitk. Related to the faculty and research,it is growing year by year. The college campus provides a lot of extracurricular activities in the form of Clubs, debate societies etc..In a Summary, the college is excellent for study an engineering course for a student interested and dedicated in this field.

If you have a good rank in cet and think of joining this college? Think about it again. Unless you still want to feel you are still at school. And the teaching faculty? Expect a few all are below average. Attdendence is a huge issue over here even if you score good they will put you through fasttrack if your attendence is low. You are restricted of wearing clothes no tshirts no ripped jeans no sleeveless no leggings . Placements are good only for cs is ec and mech. Civil people? Not even one compnay had come last year . So basically a big no for this college

RV College:Road to Victory

Sanjith

Batch of 2019 | BE Aerospace Engineering
This review deserves all my honesty and I shall be honest till it becomes controversial. I wouldn't be able to say that the two years I have spent at the RV college of engineering have been the best two years I have spent in my life. All through my school years I was always the popular kid, I was good at studies, sports, musically inclined. I was smart enough to outsmart the authorities while engaging in acts of mischief and misconduct but still won the admiration of teachers and students. The fact that I am stating this in my review can clearly indicate how narcissistic I became and how much of it has still stayed with me. That's why the two years at RV College were never the best two years of my life but they were the most important two years that I have ever lived, the two years that had the most impact on my life. I expected my college life to be the same as my life has always been but it never was, those two years taught me that I was a nobody, that it was always better to be a fish in the ocean than a piranha in the river. The greatest experience my college has given me and to which I am indebted to is humility. It taught me the greatest life lesson of all, to never be discouraged or overconfident by competition. One may think, it is all too cheesy and that can be found in any college but they forget only the brightest and the fortunate ones end up in college. If one argued that every college was the same and opened the same opportunities then what is all the fuss about the the IITs, RV college is a shorter peak but it is the tallest mountain in our region nonetheless. You can log on to the RV college website or check their Wikipedia page and you will see how big their campus is , how many basketball courts and tennis courts they have but that is not why I am writing this review. I am going to tell you about what actually happens at those sports facilities. We have one of the most amazing football and basketball teams and well the country knows of a famous cricketer who is our alumni so you cant begin to imagine how great our cricket team is. Our tennis courts are always well maintained and you are free to use them any time. You think of an idea and our college will ready to fund you on your club endeavour. We have technical clubs ranging from solar car teams to racing cars and even satellite teams. Our college fest needs no introduction, attending it is the most alive experience you can have. It does not matter what type of music you prefer, I love the classic rock and metal tunes, the fest spread over three days will ensure you suffer the only overdose you deserve, a musical overdose. If the fest is that big we must have cultural clubs that exciting to support it, there are dance clubs, debate clubs, quiz clubs, theater clubs, music clubs to name a few. If you are one of the few who got pushed into engineering but wanted to pursue something else, RV is the right destination even if it is the wrong road taken. The college atmosphere is very relaxing and the students are too friendly always ready to lend a hand to one of our own.So come be a part of the RV family, a place where the college believes in delivering superior quality with a substantial discount from the fees to the cafeteria food. Robert Frost said " Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." Those immortal lines don't apply here, getting into RV is the most traveled road and that road is the one that makes all the difference.

It has a very good student life due to advantage of location (Bangalore). The same also allows for a lot of exposure to the IT sector. It has good quality faculty and infrastructure along with prime location in he center of the city. It is a good place for networking as well, which would be a great help in professional life.

RV college of engineering is the one of the top college in Bangalore. The college is a private technical college which is located in Mysore Road, Bangalore. The campus is very wide and beautiful. Almost all students coming here are brilliant. This college is changing the students career. This is giving great atmosphere to study. If we study here we will get a lot of opportunities. Mainly they are providing excellent placement services. So many companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Intel, IBM and Accenture are visiting this campus. So that students will get a great career. Administration of this college is manged by Rashtreeya Shikshana Samiti Trust. Administration is good. Admissions are based on merit and through management quota. They are conducting many students activities such as College festival, department events, Cultural activities, sports, Language awareness and social service. Cricket and Football are the main sports items here.Good faculty supports are there and also have good Alumni networks. Overall this college is great.

1) There are many cultural clubs like CAT, DEBSOC, QUIZ CORP etc.,.You are given an opportunity to be a part of any club of your choice. 2) You will get to learn a lot. Probably not in the classroom, but if you are a part of technical teams. Few teachers are just amazing. Overall RVCE is a wonderful college to join.

Rvce is a very good college. Few good points about the college are- 1) Really hardworking folks here..even if u think you have given your 100% there would be someone who will perform better than you while juggling some random position in a club. 2) Some brilliant professors are there, you just got to find them. 3) Lots of technical and cultural clubs. Some bad things 1) Silly and strict rules

RVCE the best college in Karnataka!!

Batch of 2019 | BE Electronics and Communication Engineering
The RV College of Engineering (RVCE) campus is huge and is also very beautiful. There is a separate block for each department. The academic infrastructure is top class. Labs are of course well-equipped and also have equipment which is not usually found in any other colleges of the city. Some of the faculty at RV College of Engineering (RCVE) are pretty amazing, but they are few. Half of the faculty members are freshers who don’t have much of an experience. Communication in class is in English and sometimes in Kannada as well. So outsiders might face problems understanding what they teach. You are expected to have at least 85%. A 10% relaxation is given for genuine medical reasons or for participating in extra-curricular activities. 50% students are from various parts of Karnataka while the rest 50% are from all parts of the country. A lot of nerdy type of crowd is to be expected over here. A lot of festivals happen here but ‘8th Mile’ is the biggest among all of them. Although it's not on as large scale as some of the more popular festivals in the city arranged by colleges which are in the league of RVCE Hostels for 2nd and final year are new and they’re nice. The first years' hostels are average. But the 3rd years' hostels are old and in a pathetic condition. There are just 4 bathrooms between 64 students. Mess food is fine but offers no variety to students. Hostel charges are Rs 45,000 a year including mess charges. Placements are the best part. 100% placement for all branches is guaranteed. More IT companies than the core ones visit the campus, so CS, IS and ECE branches gets more salaries which are 4.5 – 5 lakh on an average. IBM, Wipro & Accenture are the major recruiters for these branches. Big MNCs like Microsoft & Texas Instruments also took a few students offering an amazing package of 10 to 12 Lakhs. Mechanical, Civil, IM and other branches get average 3.5 lakh package and their major recruiters are Bosch & L&T.

RVCE is one of the best colleges in Bangalore. It has great placements. Few of the facilities are not clear with concepts. But many of them are experts in their respective domains. Another plus point about this college is the extracurricular activities. It has many nontechnical and technical clubs which helps every student develop nonacademically and pursue their interests. Overall RVCE is a very good college to join.

RVCE is one of the reputed colleges in Karnataka. My journey of 2 years in RV as I am presently studying in 2nd year is really nice. There are lots n lots of opportunities to explore ourselves. But the only negative thing here is the teaching. According to me the teachers here aren't upto the expectations. Some of them get struck while explaining. But, there are good teachers as well who are the best in their concepts. Overall its a great college and if anyone wants to enjoy their college life along with studies then this is the best choice.

Faculty encourages each and every student to come forward and put their ideas. They also ensure full support to the student who wanna do something different even apart from studies. Even seniors here are very supportive. And the best part is there are many technical teams, Dance group and Drama group in the college which helps a lot to improve student's personality and confidence.

RVCE is a good college. But some of the faculty members are themselves not clear with concepts and hence don't teach properly. It has good industry exposure and lab facilities. The best part about RVCE is it's placements. Students are trained for internships and placements from second year itself. Hence most of the students get placed in their dream company with great packages. Overall RVCE is a great college to join.

In RVCE, conceptual learning and application of the knowledge gained are given major importance. Though some people depict the atmosphere as unbearable, one will judge it based on how it is looked upon as. It is mostly a student driven system rather than a teacher driven system. Extra curricular and co curricular activities are given as much importance as academics is given. There are lot of opportunities to better one's personality, skill, talent, etc.

I shall start with the exposure every student gets in this college. Here everyone is made industry ready, development of their interpersonal skills, helping critically for placements. Being an Autonomous college, it has its own pros and cons. Academic training and examination methods are very helpful for the students. Coming to college life experience, it's well balanced. One can have fun and at the same time excel in academics. As I was a day scholar, I do not have much knowledge about hostel environment. To conclude my review, I would like to recommend this college for people who want to pursue Engineering with great interest.

A really good college

Everywhere in Karnataka the name RV College of Engineering raises eyebrows. And really it is a good college. It great alumni who have gone into fields like civil services(many IAS officers) to software engineering(Harton Networks) and sports(Anil Kumble). All these were made possible due to hardworking staff in olden days. Today the administration is not so good, but not too bad too. They take measures to solve everything but fulfill it rarely. Very less teachers are extraordinary, where you expect everyone to be extraordinary. You do have very large opportunities but you have to be intelligent enough in utilising the same. Coming to college life friends are awesome. You have different kinds of people in different places. Each one of them being unique and experts in their own interests. You can learn a great deal of knowledge form everyone. Hostel life is the best part. Everyone in hostel is friendly and even the hostel staff, mess workers are really good friends of everyone. They fulfil things which you miss from your home. You miss a lot of fun if you don't stay in hostel. There are a lot of technical teams and also non technical teams in the college having a great history. Join technical teams and you improve a lot technically and obviously have to work a lot for it. Join a non technical team like Rotaract or Kannada Sangha and your ethics will improve a lot. Make sure you are part of at least one team and work really hard for it. Overall it is a really good college with humongous opportunities. Make sure you utilise them. Really as they say it is excellent place for excellent people. You enjoy a lot. Love you RVCE :-).

The education here is the old conventional and unfair type. Heavy load is put on students with continuous exams throughout the semester. Examination oriented teaching and no individual attention to students. Insensitive staff, doesn't care if you worked hard: if you didn't do well, you are useless which leads to immense demotivation. (One of the reasons why students commit suicide) Amazing students: creative, intelligent, friendly and from all parts of the country. Good placement: because the students are good enough. Extracurricular activities are organised by the student clubs and are a very good platform to learn other skills. Good infrastructure in terms of machines, and practical applications. Sports is also good, but sometimes influence works in selection process.

R V College of engine is one the top best college in Bangalore, the infrastructure of the college is very much preplanned and some of the equipments that the we use here in R V during our projects are not affordable outside. The faculty in here are highly qualified members in such a way that all the faculty members who comes here will be mastered in their interested subjects and would have published many articles. Comming to the hostels in here there are 4 hostels for boys currently, each block for each year. The boys hostels are inside the college campus itself and the girls hostel is just behind the college campus. The food in the hostels will be very good, and now when you look in to the rooms in the hostels, the rooms are very much convenient with all the required facilities such as WIFI with a very good speed, and with lots of other ones. There are many club's in here, both Technical as well as Non-technical, where in you can join in here to show up your knowledge and gain a lots and lots of knowledge. Here, R V provides you many opportunities in different fields, to raise you up as a Celebrity. Overall, in here we can learn many of the Technical and Life ethics in the college, within the completion of our four years. Also we gain a hell lot of knowledge with including some special skills such as being as an entrepreneur, team work and many more things, these are the ones which decides you your entire life and finally I love RVCE which has tought me many life ethics till now, and yet training me to be a best entrepreneur.

It's the best college of Bangalore as per almost all ranking .It is good in placement , exposure n all , but as far as college life is concerned it is not that much good.It has almost all all the facilites a college should have that includes sports facilities , library ,food court and all , but it doesn't has a good internet speed .college infrastructure n building are not at par with it should be in this modern era that's why I guess it is behind msrit in the nirf ranking. Also the hostel are not that much good .Since it lies in outskirts it connectivity is not that much good but this thing will improve when metro will start . I think as far as placement, studies it is the best college but doesn't has a good college life.

The infrastructure provided in the campus was adequate enough. There are several places to hang out with friends as well as several places to sit quietly in isolation and focus on something important (eg., studying, report, etc). Labs are kept in good condition. Every room has a projector for presentations. Classrooms are usually dusty. The food court is kept neat and is often used as a hangout place. More space could be provided though, as it gets very crowded during the break time. The college can strengthen its' corporate exposure by increasing the number of technical and literary clubs within the campus. The more the number and variety, the more recognition the college gets, which eventually leads to more corporate exposure. College life could be more happening by (again) increasing the number of technical and literary clubs within the campus, as well as devoting more effort to the annual cul-tech fest. With regard to placements, it could definitely improve.

Excellent computer science faculty

it is among one of the top colleges. It has a very good brand value. Over all Placements are good. Teaching wise it’s not that great. Moreover, it’s an autonomous institution. Most of the US universities recognize it. Computer Science is the best branch to study in this college. Placements are very good for Computer Science and Information Science students

Technical clubs

Batch of 2020 | BE Mechanical Engineering
Writing as a mechanical student of RVCE I have to say that in terms of the practical skills that they teach is awe inspiring. Given the numerous technical clubs which focus mainly on ME department, you have tons of opportunities to develop your skills. There is off-road vehicle team, racing team, solar car team, aerospace team etc etc. The teams themselves are mesmerizing and the cars they make, the cars make it through any competition and win laurels, domestic as well as international. Internship opportunities are are very welcoming, during the long summer vacations that the student gets here, she or he can easily get an internship in banglore itself or other important cities. Overall, a very nice college, if you're are dedicated to your purpose the college will lift you to great heights.
