As an electrical Engineering student I can say this confidently that SPCE is the third best engineering college in Maharashtra after IITb and COEP in electrical engineering. It gives a good platform for future study and a lot of opportunities to grow and develop. Labs and classroom are up to mark. Food is good.
There is exam after every 4 weeks which is called as test 1 &2. At the end of semester there is End Semester Examination. In test 1 and 2 each subject carries 20 marks. End semester carries 100 marks. Also 50 marks are for internal revaluation. It is all clubbed together and CPI out of 10 is given. Teaching is good.
Around 30 to 40 companies visit college for placements every year. It includes both core and non core companies. Job opportunities are good in reputed companies like L&T, tata. Average salary is 4.5 lpa. Highest offer being 7 lpa. Around 85% students get placed and other opts for higher studies.Despite having just core subjects SPCE has incredible placement record.
In year 2016 fees for first year open category students were 70,000. For castes fees is less. It is feasible for all.It remains same for all 4 years. Fee includes tuition fees, development fees. Total fees include library fee, internet facility fees, ghymkhana fees, and form fee.
Campus life is excellent. College campus is excellent and vibrant. College has 3 branches mechanical, civil, electrical. Gender ratio is approximately 70:30 (70 boys per 100 students). Students from all over Maharashtra take admissions. Students participate in extra curricular activities like BAJA, SUPRA racing , Robocon, etc.
It made my college days memorable.
yes, you can take direct admission into 2nd year in electrical engineering. this is the lateral entry process and this depends on whether you clear the admission entrance exam or not. you can also get in through the management quota but clearing the entrance is better. the fees is about 1.6 lakh
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well. Last year the cut off (MHT CET percentile) for OBC category was as follows in round 2 of MHT CET counselling to get admission in the above mentioned colleges was above 95 percentile.
Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances to get seat in CSE or IT in the preferred institutes. Cut off may increase or decrease depending on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

Dear Amol,
You can go for spit it has more options.Sardar Patel College of Engineering was officially started in 1962 and this was the idea of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Self-financed engineering courses were added to the institute in 1995. Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, the institute is one of the best engineering colleges in the country and has been providing high-quality education over the years. Even, Placements are pretty good here. The average salary package offered here is 10 LPA, and the highest salary package offered currently is 30 LPA.
