SVPISTM Coimbatore Admission Details: Eligibility, Dates, Application, Fees

Certainly, SVPISTM offers short-term online courses on medical textile management, non-woven textile management, and blockchain technology applications in the textile industry. There is a fee of Rs 10,000 for each course. The duration of the medical textile management course and non-woven textile management is 12 weeks, while the blockchain technology application in the textile industry course is 30 hours. Applicants who have graduated from any university can apply for these short-term online courses at SVPISTM Coimbatore.

In each course, both at the undergraduate level or postgraduate level, a number of seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS/PWDs at SVPISTM; the details are given below.

Reservations for UG and PG programmes

Yes, applications for various Courses at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles & Management from Foreign Nationals selected by the Government of India under the scholarship programme and direct admission through the self-financing programme are considered. Foreign Nationals are permitted up to 10% of the total seats in each course on a supernumerary basis. Foreign citizens may apply for admission without taking the Central Universities Common Entrance Tests (CUET); however, they must have taken the comparable qualifying exam at an Indian or international university or institution.

Candidates must complete all forms in their own handwriting and email them together with the required supporting paperwork to admission@svpitm.ac.in. The essential documents that must be provided in scanned form are listed below.

SVPISTM has published the latest prospectus for 2022-2023, which states the total number of seats for B.Sc textile is 80 for the General, OBC (NCL), PwD, SC, and ST categories, and eight seats for EWS. In B.Sc technical textiles, there are 40 seats for general, OBC (NCL), PwD, SC and ST students, and four seats are available for EWS students. The total number of seats available to candidates from the General, OBC (NCL), PWD, SC/ST is 120 and to the EWS is 12.

As an accredited educational institution, SVPISTM offers a range of MBA degrees, including a Textile Management MBA, a Retail Management MBA, an Apparel Management MBA, and a Technical Textiles MBA. All four specialisations offered by SVPISTM have the same eligibility criteria, which includes that candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline recognized by the UGC/AICTE and a minimum of 15 years of graduate education (10 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5), with a minimum of 50% for general candidates and 45% for OBCs/SCs/STs/PWDs.

Currently, SVPISTM Coimbatore does not offer offline application facilities. SVPISTM has made the application process as easy as possible, and all candidates need to do is download the application form from the institute's official website, svpistm.ac.in, fill it out and send it to the email address provided in the admission prospectus, admission@svpitm.ac.in.

The application fee for the SVP entrance test (SVP ET) is Rs. 500 for General and OBC candidates. Candidates under the SC, ST, or PwD categories are not required to submit an application fee. The application form must include all necessary transaction information, and the candidate can pay the application fee online. The applicant may apply for many courses with a single payment.

According to the prospectus of 2022-2023, the total fee for the BSC Textile programme at SVPISTM Coimbatore for three years will be 198,000. On the other hand, a B.Sc in technical textiles costs Rs 230000. Both program fee structures include a caution fee of Rs 5000; it is a one-time charge made during admission in the first semester.
