School of Design, UPES Dehradun is founded to provide industry-focused specialised courses catering to the design industry in a better way. It is a part of the UPES. The UPES was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003. It is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The courses offered by the UPES School of Design are B.Des, M.Des & B.Des and M.Des Integrated in different specializations like Product Design, Transportation & Mobility Design, Interaction Design, Fashion Design etc. As per the School of Design, UPES Dehradun placement 2022 stats 105 students were placed and the highest salary package was Rs 15.17 lakhs.

UPES School of Design Dehradun Courses

The college provides undergraduate, integrated and postgraduate design courses. A total of 19 courses are offered by the institute. UPES School of Design courses are offered in design stream. A few of the courses offered are B.Des Fashion Design, B.Des and M.Des Graphic Design Integrated, M.Des Product Design etc. UPES School of Design Dehradun courses are provided in regular mode. UPES School of Design Dehradun course fees for B.Des programmes is Rs 19.20 lakhs and for M.Des progremmes it is Rs 11.64 lakhs to Rs 12.52 lakhs.

To get the admission in the UPES School of Design Dehradun programmes candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria determined by the college. UPES School of Design admission to UG courses is done based on NIFT/ NID DAT/ UCEED/ UPES DAT scores of candidates. On the other hand, for CEED/ UPES DAT scores are accepted for M.Des admission. Students who are enrolled in Master of Design (M.Des) programmes can avail teaching assistance ship offered by the institute. The college provides Rs. 3000 teaching assistance ship to M.Des students. Adding to it, students who have Uttarakhand state domicile can avail 33% fees concession offered by the institute. As per the UPES School of Design Dehradun scholarship policy, fee concession is offered to Uttarakhand students who annual family income is not more than Rs. 12,00,000.

The placements at the college are handled by the placement cell. UPES School of Design placement cell is responsible for the placements of students. It ensures reputed companies visit the campus placement drive and offer jobs to the students. A few of the recruiters of the college are Accenture, Amazon, BJYU'S, Decathlon etc. UPES School of Design Dehradun placement cell also provides industrial training to the students to prepare them for the placement drive. According to the School of Design, UPES Dehradun placement 2022 report 109 students were placed in companies like LM, TCS, Maruti Suzuki, ESCORTS, etc. The highest salary package was of Rs 15.17 lakhs.
