UPES provide many opporunities and exposure on both industrial as well as intercollegiate level. Though it on upto you that you find your ways to grab on those opportunities. Sharing my experience we need to regularly interact with our teachers and be in touch with our heads and seniors for new opporunities and competitons

Most of the faculty have enough experience and huge amount of knowledge and their way of teaching is also different from other colleges. And this university provides enough industry exposure.Hostel are also good with enough facilities.Talking about the placement in my field is not so good.

I've been here for more than a year now and so far so good. Located in foothills of the Mussoorie range, it is a beautiful campus. The college is good academics-wise, though there is always room for improvement, eh? If you are Computer Science student, placement is going to be good. For other branches - not so much. The aerospace faculty is really great here and they really know their stuff. Reasonably good infrastructure and well-equipped labs. College life is great but transportation here could be a pain in the neck due to being located in the remote village of Bidholi. After 7 PM you're on your own and hiring an auto-rickshaw or taxi is going to be really expensive! Lots of places to explore here in Dehradun. Plus Mussoorie is only about Rs 100 away. I don't live in the campus hostel but have heard about a lot of stupid restrictions. You can find some really great private hostels in the vicinity, though. Price-wise, it is on the higher side and really not THAT justifiable but all things considered, it's a nice place to be.
