Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT), Pune was established in the year 1983. PICT is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is also accredited by NAAC and NBA. PICT Pune Admissions

Pune Institute of Computer Technology offers admission to undergraduate (BE, B.Tech) and postgraduate (ME, M.Tech) courses. Admission to undergraduate courses is carried out through the MHT CET/JEE Main examination, while admissions for postgraduate courses are carried out through the GATE examination followed by the counselling process, respectively. Candidates applying for any of the available courses must check the eligibility requirements for that course offered by the Pune Institute of Computer Technology. PICT Pune Cut-Off

Pune Institute of Computer Technology, Pune cutoff is determined by the college which constitutes the opening and closing rank for the admissions. Candidates must score the rank between the cutoff for the admissions. Cutoff is based on the marks and ranks obtained by candidates in JEE Main or MHT CET for B.Tech admissions and GATE cut-off for M.E admissions. Various factors like previous year cut-off, difficulty level of the paper, number of students appearing for the exams, and others are factors determining the cut-off for a year.

PICT Pune Scholarships

The institute has provisions for quite a few fellowships and scholarships for its students. The institute is approved by AICTE and the scholarships here are sponsored by AICTE. Students willing to avail any of these scholarships must meet the eligibility criteria for the scholarships and then apply for it by filling the application form from the official website of AICTE. College Infrastructure

In terms of lab equipment, all devices for electronics, digital and signal communication are present in working condition. Wifi is also made available through out the entire campus. The canteen and the campus are clean and well maintained

College Infrastructure

The Wi-Fi facility is good. The library facilities are awesome. The studying environment is available all over the campus. Classroom facilities are good. The library has all the books that are needed for students. The environment of the college makes you study more and competitive.

The college is small but everything is going well .

Sir I got 76 %ile in JEE Main From OBC-NCL category,can I eligible to get admission in PICT Pune?

Hello aspirant,
PICT Pune is going to be a bit dificult as per you percentile in the reserve category which can move up the rank above 80k. Cut offs are generally below 20k every year for Computer Engineering, and they fall depending on the demand of the stream. They, however, change every year. But to be honest, you have very slim chances of getting into the institution. Securing at least above 90 lets a student dream of something better.

Being a e w s category student and as you have achieved 80.96 percentile in JEE mains examination so on the basis of EWS category charge for you to take admission in Pune Institute of Computer technology which was established by society for Computer technology research in the year of 1983. Your result in JEE mains is hopeful on the basis of EWS category reservation policy you will get 10% reservation in respect of any admission so there is a bright chance for you for taking admission in Pune Institute of Computer Technology,Pune, Maharastra.

IIIT PUNE & PICT PUNE WHICH COLLEGE IS BETTER?

Hope you are doing great! Here's your answer!

PICT is a much better options because the difference between IT and CS placements in PICT is almost 0. All companies who hire CS students allow IT students to apply too. Now for those wondering about difference in Course structures between the two the IT 2012 onwards syllabus is much better and well structured . PICT beats all colleges of Pune including COEP wrt acads . So PICT IT >>>> IIIT Pune CS .

The college fee in PICT is 3.86 lacks for 4 years and VIT Pune is 7.20 lacks for 4 years. Infrastructure is more in PICT compared to VIT Pune. Round -3 JEE mains cutoff rank for PICT is 10984 and that of VIT Pune is 22518 for the IT branch. PICT Pune placements 2020 witnessed the highest package of INR 43.33 LPA . Over 115 companies participated in the placement drive. Over 351 male students and 203 female students were offered placement offers by top companies. The placement percentage of PICT has also increased to 84.06%

I only heard good things about the institute from him. Here are some facts about IT at PICT and CSE at IIIT-Pune, which may help you to decide.

Teachers:

All of the faculties of IIIT-Pune are Ph.D. holders from institutes like IIT KGP, NITs, and foreign universities.
Most of the faculties of PICT are M.tech or still pursuing their PhDs.

Degree:

Students get B.tech in IIIT-Pune as compared to a B.E. at PICT.
IIIT-Pune's curriculum doesn't include subjects like Civil, Engineering Drawing, Mechanics, Mechanical, Chemistry which are of no use in the course of CSE.

Institute of National Importance:

IIIT-Pune is like all the IITs, NITs, IIITs which is an Institute of National Importance( INI) which leads to a lot of Government funds and monetary support.
Students who did their 12th from the MP board or others can receive a full tuition fee waiver for 4 years of their B. Tech since IIIT Pune is an INI.

Students think that PICT is old so it’s better and yes it’s been around for 20 years since PICT’s inception and it has developed whereas IIIT-Pune is just 2 years old and has the potential for tremendous growth.

5: How long is the PhD programme that PICT offers?

PhD programmes last a minimum of three years and a maximum of six years. The course is available in two specialisations. Admission to the PhD programme is governed by the Savitribai Phule Pune University's rules and regulations (SPPU).
