The college has a training and placement department which is responsible for conducting placements in the campus. The aim of the T&P department is to provide best job opportunities to the students. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology placement department trains students and thereby enhances their chances of getting a job. To make sure students are familiar with the industrial work culture, T&P conducts industrial training sessions for the students. Capability enhancement programme is one of the integral parts of SMIT Sikkim placements training for students. Under this programme students are given career guidance and competitive exam training. The institute is situated in the river of the beautiful banks of Teesta. It is far from the city crowd. It has a most pleasant and peaceful environment for education. The placements are very good. Also the climate are pleasant. Mostly the winter attitude is present there all over the year. But rain has also come. Overall it is very much body soothing.
