SJB Institute of Technology, Bangalore offers admission at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for admission. SJBIT BE admissions require an entrance exam (CET/COMEDK/JEE) to be cleared whereas the M.Tech and MBA course requires Karnataka PGCET and PGCET/KMAT respectively. Candidates seeking admission to the SJBIT Ph.D course are required to appear for the VTU Eligibility Test for Research conducted by the Visvesvaraya Technical University.

SJBIT Bangalore Application Process 2024

• Candidates are required to sign up on the official website and obtain a login ID and password.

• The application admission form can be downloaded for the respective course with a payment of Rs 500 via this link sjbit.edu.in/admission.

• Candidates should fill out the form with the mentioned details and submit it.

• Candidates will be contacted via email for further communication.

SJBIT Bangalore UG Admission 2024

There are 6 SJBIT BE courses in the fields of computer science and engineering, civil engineering, electronics and communication engineering, information science and engineering, mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering. Candidates with a diploma can also be admitted to the BE course through lateral entry.

SJBIT BE Admission Process (Through KCET)

• Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT BE eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.

• Candidates are required to fill out the application form.

• Afterwards, candidates must take the KCET and wait for the declaration of the result and cutoff.

• Candidates qualifying for the cutoff should apply for KCET counselling and fill in their choice of college and course.

• Seats are allotted on the basis of merit of KCET rank, choice filled, availability of seats and participation in the counselling. (45% of the seats are filled through KCET)

• After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT BE Admission Process (Through COMEDK UGET)

• Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT BE eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.

• Candidates are required to fill out the application form.

• Afterwards, candidates must take the COMEDK UGET and wait for the declaration of the result and cutoff.

• Shortlisted candidates have to register for counselling and select SJB Institute of Technology.

• Seats are allotted on the basis of merit of COMEDK UGET rank, choice filled, availability of seats and participation in the counselling. (30% of the seats are filled through COMEDK UGET).

• After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT  PG Admission 2024

There are 2 SJBIT PG courses which are MBA and M.Tech. Admissions to both programmes are through an entrance test (PGCET/KMAT/CMAT/GATE).

SJBIT MBA Admission Process

• Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT MBA eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.

• Candidates are required to fill out the application form.

• Take the Karnataka PGCET and wait for the results and announcement of the cutoff.

• Shortlisted candidates have to register and appear for Karnataka PGCET counselling and select SJBIT Bangalore.

• After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT M.Tech Admission Process

• Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT M.Tech eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.

• Candidates are required to fill out the application form.

• Take the Karnataka PGCET and wait for the results and announcement of the cutoff.

• Candidates who have qualified GATE need not give the PGCET.

• Shortlisted candidates based on ranks of the entrance test are called for Karnataka PGCET counselling, conducted by KEA.

• Seats will be allotted on the basis of the merit ranks of the candidates in Karnataka PGCET and the preferences of the candidates.

• After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.

SJBIT  Ph.D Admission 2024

There are 7 Ph.D courses in disciplines like Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanical Engineering. SJBIT Ph.D courses are available for full-time 3 years and part-time 5 years.

SJBIT Ph.D Admission Process

• Candidates must fulfil the SJBIT Ph.D eligibility criteria to apply for admissions.

• Appear for Visvesvaraya Technological University Eligibility Test for Research (VTU-ETR).

• UGC-NET(including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / SLET / GATE/ CAT/having M.Phil degree/full-time (special) candidates/faculty members selected under QIP / FIP are exempted from the entrance test.

• A merit list is prepared and shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview.

• A consolidated merit list will be prepared based on the scores of the interview (70% weightage) and the qualifying examination (30% weightage).

• After seat allotment, candidates must visit the institute, get their documents verified and confirm their admission.
