About Sonapur College
Sonapur College, Kamrup is affiliated to Gauhati University. The college was established in 1991. The College offers Higher secondary, B.A. and B.Com. degree courses in 13 major disciplines. The College has also started M.A programmes in Assamese and Geography. UGC has granted the status of the DDU KAUSHAL Kendra to Sonapur College and has approved Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) Programmes, namely Retail Management & IT, Theatre & Stage Craft and Tourism & Travel Management under the Scheme of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Centre for Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human Abilities and Livelihood (DDU KAUSHAL) of UGC.
Location: Sonapur College, Kamrup is located at Mandal, Sonapur, Assam. The nearest railway junction to the College is Kamakhya Junction and the nearest bus depot is Panjabari Bus Stand, which is 38 km and 24 km away from the College respectively.
