SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

SRM IST Ramapuram campus has hostel facilities for boys and it is geographically separated to ensure privacy. To make the administration easier, the boys’ hostels are well-equipped with modern kitchens, dining halls, and other amenities. The hostels have hot water facilities through the solar heater. Each hostel room has its study hall and the boys’ hostel have a separate department store and internet centre. The other boys’ hostel facilities at SRM IST Ramapuram include a food court, canteen, DTP, Bank/ATM, internet, telecom centre, supermarket, sports, entertainment/recreation, halls for gym and yoga. Within the campus, there is well equipped SRM Speciality Hospital which has 150 beds. It operates around the clock, offering free healthcare services to students, staff, and the general public.

Girls' hostels on the campus are geographically isolated to ensure privacy. The girls' hostels include kitchen facilities and dining halls for the students. The girls’ hostel has solar heaters that provide hot water. The rooms in the girls’ hostel have a study hall, department store and internet centre. A food court, canteen, DTP, Bank/ATM, internet, telecom centre, supermarket, sports, entertainment/recreation, and gym and yoga halls are among the other girls’ hostel amenities at SRM IST Ramapuram campus.

Students, staff members, and the public are treated at a multi-speciality/general hospital on campus for general, medical and dental problems. The hospital offers free medical care services and has a team of highly trained and skilled physicians and specialists. The hospital has emergency services such as the Causality department, Trauma care, ICU services, Maternity care, 24-hour pharmacy, lab services, Ultrasound & X-Ray facilities, ambulance services and emergency operation facilities are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the hospital in the institute.

The Central Library at the Ramapuram Campus was established in 2004, when the faculty of Engineering & technology started here. The library has an excellent collection of books covering science, engineering and humanities.

The fully air-conditioned Central Library is situated in the Ground floor of Main Block with the area about 8000 sq ft. and the PG & Architecture Library located in the Ground floor of the PG block. Designed to accommodate 180 users at a time, the library has various sections such as

SRM IST Ramapuram facilities and infrastructure include sports equipment for outdoor and indoor games on campus for the students.

SRM IST Ramapuram campus has well-equipped IT infrastructure facilities for the students.

SRM IST Ramapuram campus has a cafeteria that provides high-quality food and refreshments by supplying both vegetarian and non-veg dishes to the students.

The campus has an air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 750. The auditorium is equipped with public added system and in built amplifier speakers. An open auditorium with a seating capacity of 3000 is attached to the auditorium. The campus is also housed with three air conditioned Seminar Halls with a seating capacity of 200 each.

SRM IST Ramapuram campus provides transport facilities which include bus and other transport facilities to the students and staff members.

The Campus has A full-fledged Alumni Association is functioning with the strength of more than 400 members from India and countries abroad.

SRM IST Ramapuram campus has a modern photocopier with reduction enlargement facilities. The institute has a full-fledged DTP section that includes a network in Pentium IV computers with a scanner, laser printer, colour printers and other necessary software. The DTP section provides service to students in the compilation of their project reports. The internet centre includes the following facilities such as browsing, voice mail, Desktop publications (DTP), Colour/black and white laser print, scanning, lamination and xerox.

The institute has City Union Bank (extension counter) and the working hours are 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and Monday Holiday.
