The St Joseph's Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Palai offers a four-year Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) programme for students who want to work in hotels. In this programme, students study both theory and practical subjects. They also have a 20-week training in real hotels during their sixth semester. To join, students need to pass their higher secondary exams with at least 45% marks which is the SJIHMCT eligibility criteria. There are discounts for reserved category students. This programme is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam and approved by AICTE. It lasts for eight semesters and includes 525 hours of classes, giving students a complete hotel management education.
