SXC Ranchi Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Hostel facility available for boys, along with hygienic fooding.The Mess of the Hostel is run entirely on a non-profit basis under the supervision of the Superintendent. This hostel is for the male students of St Xavier's College only. It is under the management of the College.

Gym Membership only for Students & Staffs. The college offers Gym facilities for the staff and students, under the following Membership Plan (Monthly - Rs 950),(Quarterly - Rs 2600), (Half Yearly - Rs 5000), (Yearly - Rs 9000). Online Application available for Gym Membership.

The college library has more than 1 Lac books and journals. The members of the college community are exhorted to make the best use of the library subject to some conditions.The Identity Card of the college should be produced along with a requisition slip with the request for a book.Books from the Central Library will be issued according to the time schedule shown on the library board.Degree, as well as Honours students, are allowed to borrow two books at a time. Honors students may also get books from their respective departments.The books may be kept for a period of two weeks. A fine of 50 paise will be charged per day for late returning of books.After the final clearance, Central Library books will not be issued except to those who deposit Rs.50/- as Caution Deposit with the Librarian. Even then books will not be issued to students who habitually break library rules. The caution money will be returned later.The college reading room remains open on class days from 6.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. The library remains closed on Sundays and Holidays.

Students are allowed to sit and relax during leisure hours but not to prolong for hours and are expected to keep the place clean. During class hours playing football, Basketball, cricket or hockey is not allowed.Facilities are available in the college for games in volleyball, basketball, hockey, cricket, football, badminton and indoor games. The proper environment must be maintained in the common room while playing indoor games and while watching TV.Students should not take the newspapers, magazine away from their respective places.

The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

Boys and Girls are allowed to go to the canteen. A mutual respect is expected from all. Canteen is opened at 6.30 a.m.-6.00 p.m. During holidays it will remain closed. Canteen is just to provide you light refreshment; Student are advised not to sit longer than 20 minutes.

The stage has always been held in great honor at St. Xavier's. For an educational institution an auditorium is not just a venue for school and college events, or merely a meeting place, it is a space where a corporation of students and scholars congregate ---- to celebrate, to debate, to discuss and sometimes even to mourn collectively.

Classrooms are large and capable of accommodating a large number of students without cramping. They are surrounded by large spacious verandahs for students to move and breathe freely. All Classrooms are equipped with wi-fi and projector.

St. Xavier's College has highly equipped Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Botany and Biotechnology Labs.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The bicycles and two-wheelers are to be parked in the allotted parking places only. Students are directed to make vehicles pass.Students are requested to lock properly their vehicles and the college does not take any responsibility if the vehicle is stolen. Students are not allowed to bring cars, vans, jeeps and other four-wheelers in the college campus. The parking rules of the college have to be followed strictly. There is a required fee to be paid for parking.
