College has good infrastructure, it's build very near to nature and out off town. All facilities are available in the campus itselef. You have good sports facilities and Gyms. It has hospital to. Best place to study
Academics is good, professor are too good and very friendly. They are supportive and informative. Professor applies new method of study and helps students to get doubts clear. Labs which well equipped and has latest technology to learn from.
Placement is some where college needs to focus on. I think now it has improved. College should try for placements for all the student. They should attract few more good and big brand companies. Wherein the few other company will follow.
The college has an amazing infrastructure comprising of all the basic necessities for the students with a 24/7 library. The quality of mess food is decent and the best part is they used to serve 4 meals a day, hence the students wouldn't have to face any issues in finding food in and around the campus.
The teachers are very helpful and almost 90% of the teachers hold a Ph.D. Degree and their vast industrial experience brings in a lot of quality in the teaching methods which includes case study discussions and other live demonstrations and examples.
Around 60% of the students were placed. The highest salary was close to 10 Lacs offered by Microsoft and the lowest pack was 3.2 Lacs offered by IBM. Only 20% of the students got an internship from college, the rest had to find internships using their own sources.
Labs in our college were state-of-the-art with the latest tech and equipment. The automotive department, along with AI, were top class specially imported from Germany. Hostel facility was nice with three students sharing a room along with attached bathroom and toilet. Quality of the food served was nice when the semester started but degraded with time. By the end of the semester, it was good again.
Teachers here were helpful to share their knowledge. Some teachers were exceptional, well-read and were amazing role models to have, while some were just reading through notes and finishing the syllabus. The course curriculum was relevant. They used modern approach to teach mechanical engineering and used examples of 21st-century, which made things relevant while studying.
Around 10% of the total eligible students got placed, but not in our respective core branches. The highest salary package offered was around 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The top recruiters of the college were TCS, IBM, Dell, and L&T. Roles offered were as a junior manager and associate engineer. Everyone who applied got an internship in the mechanical field from companies like Tata Motors, General Motors, and Mercedes.
New Hostel is amazing here just like a five star hotel room and as the campus is on the base of the hill, the environment is good here!SIT students are crazy for sports, almost every types of sports is played here with all the facilities. Mess food is good than other hostels definitely. The college have labs and projectors in classroom. Wi-Fi is accessible in labs, class and hostel!
Teachers are knowledgeable most of them are Ph.D. holders. For E&TC, subjects like Robotics, Microcontroller, Embedded Systems are there in curriculum but there's lot room for improvement for making the students industry ready!Google Classroom are used for uploading various knowledgeable things related to subject by faculty member.
Placement for CS/IT is comparatively better than other branches. The average pack for computer Science goes upto 6L and companies like Microsoft, Google and Amazon also came into the campus. But I am from E&TC and avg placement for it is 4L but then again you can try off campus if you're cable.
Wi-Fi facility is provided in all over the campus, but with the restricted usage so that students use it only for educational purposes. Classrooms are very good. The library is filled with a good amount of books. If we needed more books, then the central library is also available at the university campus. The hostel facility is very good, and it also serves good food. But the hostel facility is provided only for the first and 2-year students.
Faculty members in our college are very helpful, friendly and qualified. They are PhD faculty members for the core subjects. Their teaching quality is quite high. The course curriculum is very useful as our college provides a workshop and great labs to get some hands-on experience. The mandatory six months internship makes the students industry-ready.
Placements for the mechanical course are comparatively less when compared to other branches. But they are trying to invite more companies. Top recruiting company of our course is Tata, and we can try for government jobs through IES. An internship is compulsory, and every student tries to get an internship with some or other ways. It is the choice of the students to do an internship in any company.
The college is situated far from the main Pune city. The campus covers a large area, and it is almost complete hill if you include the MBA campus. The college has a football team, cricket team, etc. The college faculty does very little help to support you with issues like attendance, etc. It provides a decent football ground. It has good and maintained gym facility. I would rate 3 out of 5 mess food.
Teachers and other faculty members in our college are very well-qualified. Some teachers are somehow not able to reach out to every student as it should be happening. I feel a college should focus more on how to create good human beings and give the students a little more exposure to the industry and work-life. For overall faculty members, I would rate 3 out of 5.
As unemployment has increased in our country, so it has had it's effects on placements in colleges as well. For mechanical course, few companies visit our college from the technical field for placements. Mostly software industry companies hire students, and they give 6 months training and then the real job. The average salary offered in this field ranges between 3-4 LPA.
Very good infrastructure and facilities. There is Wi-Fi all over the buildings. Some classrooms are air conditioned. All the labs are air conditioned. Hostel facilities are also very good. Medical facilities were top most. Sports and games were also given priority and we had tournaments and fests.
Faculty were very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was excellent. The teachers were always available for us. They helped us in every possible aspect. The course curriculum was very relevant. It makes the students industry ready.
Symbiosis Institute of technology Pune holds good placement records. Almost 60% students from my batch were placed. SIT Pune holds an average package of 8 to 10 Lacs per annum. All the students of my course i.e Mechanical branch got internships from the college itself.
Facilities are really good Library is also good We have a ground for all sports and sports fests Quality of food is also good maybe south indians won't support it much. Wi-Fi is also good but it has access to only college related sites and educational sites. Medical facilities are good, we have a hospital built recently wid top staff.
Faculty is good except for the electronics faculty. For the first and second year the teachers are good. Curriculum is all good. Students also get a hands on experience as we have labs with all facility and equipments. We have programming languages and we also have courses to learn and apply.
The highest-paid is 12-15 Lacs per annum the lowest -paid is 8 Lacs per annum Companies- Google, Mahindra Placement Percentage is almost 70-80% We students actually don't get too much information on the placement we just get the company and package the one he got selected. We have placement cell which gives an idea of companies and their requirements.
Our college has good infrastructure and accommodation. Around 4 years ago, when I came to visit the university for the first time, I was convinced by the looks of this college that it would be a great one, but trust me, don't judge a book by its cover. However, the services like Wi-Fi, labs and classrooms are good, along with a great gymnasium, football and basketball court, stationery shop within the premise.
Though the course curriculum is great, the faculty members are least concerned with the student. Since the teaching method is based on PPTs, most of the professors solely read out the slides of the PPT. The attendance is of a great deal in this college, which has to be 75% per subject per semester. Otherwise, the college does not permit the student to attend the final semester examinations, and in this respect even if the student has genuine reasons for not making the attendance to 75%.
Placements for mechanical, civil and ENTC are below average, which is why most students of these branches have no option than to opt for higher studies for better placements. Only, the CS/IT branch gets the best placements with good salary package. Faculty members are least bothered about students, they solely do their teaching, and some barely care about the students and their placements.
The speed of Wi-Fi is pathetic here, and we barely get 3-4 Mbps with major blockage. Even YouTube does not work. Reception inside hostels isn't really great. Labs are good with decent systems, but classrooms are dull and depressing. SIT library is small, but SIU central library does not disappoint you. Hostels are amazing, and the mess is top-notch. Sports facilities are fantastic even though we lack proper coaches. Medical facilities are good as our college has its own hospital on the campus.
The teachers here are qualified, but it feels that they possess bookish knowledge. They are oriented towards dictating code rather than developing the students' thought process. However, some of the teachers are really amazing, professional and will really help you throughout your degree. The course curriculum is absolutely relevant to the industry needs and includes those courses which are decided at the beginning of the semester.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the placements in the last year were a bit above average for tier 2 and 3 colleges. There were around 70% placements here, although many of them were just mass recruiters. The highest salary package of 31 LPA was offered in Japan by CrowdWorks. Google and Amazon visited the campus. I think Google hired 2 students or maybe 3 students, but not for developer roles. Overall, placements are good if you have the potential.
