The college provides laboratories with latest technology equipment for thorough understanding by the student. It has a magnificent indoor stadium for sports and cultural events. It continuously conducts seminars and expert talks by established professionals from various fields. Also many industrial visits are arranged for enhanced industry exposure. Apart from academics, a student can also display his/her extra-curricular talents during the college fest - TECHNIEKS, comprising of a wide variety of events which are extremely enjoyable. A student can also participate in different sports activities being conducted throughout the year. A student excelling in a particular sport also gets the opportunity to represent the college at state and national levels. The college is visited by many esteemed companies for placement offers. I received an offer from Tata Consultancy Services. Also, mock placements and placement training by professional trainers are conducted during pre-final years to prepare the student. This training includes aptitude and soft-skills, both of which are highly helpful. For students coming from outside the city, the college provides adequate hostel facilities. A recent building 'YUVIKA' was established inside the college campus for girls. The college has well qualified teachers in every department who are hardworking and strive to make every student industry-ready. The college crowd is encouraging and friendly. They acknowledge and support talented individuals during extra-curricular activities or sports matches. The college fees is quite minimal. A student can make the most of these precious years at an affordable rate. In other words, " A complete package ".

Being one of the oldest institutes in the nation NIE has maintained the art and architecture well by adopting and expanding its infrastructure to the modern day techniques. There are several industry visits for students and staff according to their branches and it happens every year. The co-curricular activities with the blend of fine academics made my journey more enjoyable.I have had the right platform to showcase my talent academically as well as culturally through students clubs dance, singing and various other shows. I was happy getting placed in Accenture Pvt Ltd.I was also part of Toyota Kirloskar motors interview for which the results are yet to be announced.Overall the college placements are really satisfying. Also, hostel facilities added to my satisfaction when there was a new infrastructure built for girls hostel within our college campus.It has the best architecture design I've known.I believe my whole departmental staffs were itself exceptional when it was about quality as well as quality education.To name a few I think G.Maadhu who would teach us mechanical related subjects in the 2nd and 3rd year was exceptional in the level of his teaching methods.Also, Dr.Y S Varadarajan sir who is my project guide who is known for his disciplines and ethics. The student crowd is exceptionally good as all are passionate about what they do.In a large scale, I've seen students being very enthusiastic about their particular field of study.The overall crowd here is well engaged and responsible enough. I think I would recommend this college to anyone who is desperately seeking to acquire good knowledge and also looking for his/her personality growth.The college is very affordable in terms of quality and financial terms.

The University offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Engineering, Bio-technology, Medicine, Management, Law, Computer application, and rural management, Fashion, Film Studies, Journalism and Sculpturing. It was one of the youngest institutions to be awarded the deemed university status in India and then the university status in 2004.

Very good college. Staff members are also very supportive. Quality education. Excellent for placements. Very good infrastructure as well. Large campus. Great campus life. Excellent facilities are available in the campus. Worth the money. At last very good college for students to pursue a degree course.
