About NIE Mysore

The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore was established in 1946. It is a grant-in-aid institution and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The National Institute of Engineering is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. NIE Mysore got autonomous status from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi in the year 2007. The National Institute of Engineering has been accredited by NAAC. It is a private institute. The National Institute of Engineering is spread over an area of 12 acres. Five NIE Mysore undergraduate programmes such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Industrial and Production Engineering and three PG programmes such as Hydraulics, Production Engineering and System Technology and Structural Engineering have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi, under Tier-I. NIE Mysore Facilities and Infrastructure

On the campus of the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore there are various facilities for both students and staff. The NIE Mysore campus contains a large library with abstracts, yearbooks, textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and other general materials, including Kannada novels. The library also has access to a variety of internet databases. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls on campus, as well as a boarding facility. The boys' hostel has a capacity of 486 students. NIE Mysore facilities include a canteen for students and faculty and it serves a variety of cuisines to students and faculty while also maintaining hygiene and cleanliness. NIE Mysore Admissions

The institute offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Admission to B.E. programmes are based on the COMEDK UGET or KCET, followed by a counselling process. In order to take NIE Mysore admission in M.Tech and M.C.A courses, candidates have to appear in the Karnataka PGCET. Furthermore, candidates must take part in the counselling session. NIE Mysore Cut off

The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore releases the UG and PG cut off ranks every year. The NIE Mysore cut off score is the minimum mark required to be considered for admission to the institute. Candidates for B.E admission must first take the COMEDK UGET entrance exam, after which the NIE Mysore cut off will be announced. NIE Mysore Scholarship

The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore provides scholarships to meritorious and needy students based on their performance in academics. For NIE Mysore scholarships, candidates have to fulfill the required eligibility criteria. Eligible students can also apply for scholarships at the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore. Students are encouraged to apply for a variety of scholarships offered by the state and central governments. The eligible NIE Mysore students can also avail scholarships offered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The NIE Mysore scholarships depend on various factors like the annual income of candidates’ parents, the category of the candidate and candidates’ financial condition. Some NIE scholarships include Merit Cum Minorities Scholarship, SC Goipm Scholarship, ST Goipm Scholarship, Defence Scholarship, GSB Scholarship and many other scholarships. Scholarship for NIE Mysore students- Scholarship Amount/Eligibility Criteria

Saksham Scholarship	Rs.30,000 or the actual tuition fees paid, whichever is less. Contingency allowance of Rs 2000 per month for a duration of 10 months.	Only for differently-abled students with more than 40% disability. Family income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum. Students must be admitted to first-year diploma/undergraduate degree level programmes/courses in AICTE approved institutions.
Pragati Scholarship for Girls	Amount of scholarship that is a tuition fee of Rs. 30,000 or at actual, whichever is less and Rs. 2,000 per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.	This scholarship is for girl candidates who have taken admission to the diploma/degree course at AICTE approved institution/college. The annual income of the family should not be more than Rs.8 Lakhs. Up to two girls per family can apply for the scholarship.
Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities	Admission and Tuition Fee- Rs.7,000/- per annum For Technical courses- Rs.10,000/- per annum	Students of class 11 to higher education who scored at least 50% marks in the previous exam. A family's annual income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs. Students from minority communities such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians/Parsis can apply.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS	Rs. 20,000/- per annum	Students should have got admission to technical/professional courses in a college, on the basis of a competitive examination. He or she must have received at least 50% marks in the previous exam. The family's income should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 lakhs. Students should belong to Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians (Parsis) communities.
AICTE GATE Scholarship	Rs. 12,400/- per month per student.	Must have a valid GATE score at the time of admission. Admitted to AICTE-approved colleges and universities.
