In 2008, The Visakha Institute of Engineering and Technology, Visakhapatnam was established and is autonomous. This college is approved as per AICTE norms and is a Co-Ed. This college is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Vizianagaram. The college offers Diploma., undergraduate and postgraduate courses to students who want to pursue in the fields of Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Production Engineering Management and Business Administration and others. 

Visakha Institute of Engineering and Technology, Visakhapatnam, also called VIET Visakhapatnam, courses include Diploma., B.E/B.Tech., M.E/M. Tech., M.C.A. and M.B.A.. Admission into these courses is given based on the scores acquired by the students in the AP-POLYCET/EAPCET/AP-EAMCET/AP-PGECET/GATE/AP-ICET exams. Aspirants are advised to meet the VIET Visakhapatnam Cut-off as prescribed by the management of the college, wherever applicable.

The college also has a placement cell, which offers its students placement opportunities in diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses with a good salary package.
