Students need to meet the eligibility requirements of the desired institute before applying for the admissions. Students should have an interest in computer systems and their applications. For an undergraduate course, the students need to complete their 10+2 education in Science stream with 50 per cent aggregate score.
For a postgraduate course, the candidates need to complete a Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline with 60 per cent aggregate score. In the table below, we have mentioned the eligibility criteria of UG and PG courses in the field of Information Technology.
Students who have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) with a science stream are eligible to pursue undergraduate courses in Information Technology. They also need to meet the minimum required aggregate score specified by the institute which is generally 50 per cent. JEE Main: JEE Mains stands for Joint Entrance Examination and this is a national level examination conducted by NTA Agency. JEE Advanced: JEE Advanced is the next level entrance examination conducted for the candidates who are qualified in JEE Mains. This exam is conducted by seven zonal coordinating IITs.
BITSAT:BITSAT is a national-level entrance exam conducted by BITS Pilani every year for admission to various courses. Students who have passed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with 75 per cent in aggregate and a minimum of 60 per cent in each paper can apply for the BITSAT exam.
The eligibility criteria of the Information Technology course at postgraduate level depends on the respective institute, but there are some common eligibility requirements which are essential for the admissions to Information Technology postgraduate degrees.
