GUJCET 2024 - The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has announced the GUJCET exam dates 2024 on gseb.org. The authority will conduct the GUJCET 2024 exam on April 02. • Gseb has announced the GUJCET exam date 2024 on October 14. The GUJCET exam will be held on April 2, 2024. The conducting body also released the GUJCET timing along with the dates.

It is important for the participating candidates to know that GSEB is responsible for conducting the GUJCET 2024 exam. The remaining parts, like counselling and seat allotment, will be done by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). In the GUJCET counselling 2024, 40% weightage will be given to the percentile obtained in the GUJCET 2024 exam and 60% weightage will be offered to the percentile obtained in board exams.

The answer key of GUJCET 2024 will be released on the official website. Candidates have to send each objection separately with the subject, question paper code, and question number to the email id, gujcetkey@gmail.com. The authority will conduct the GUJCET 2024 exam in offline mode at various exam centres. GUJCET admit card 2024 will be available on the official website. What is the GUJCET Exam?

Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2024 exam is conducted for admissions to professional degree courses like Bachelor of Engineering and Technology and Bachelor of Pharmacy offered by the participating institutes. Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) conducts the GUJCET exam once a year.

GUJCET 2024 exam is a state-level exam conducted in 3 languages namely English, Hindi, and Gujarati. Being an offline exam, the Gujarat Common Entrance Exam 2024 will be held in offline mode ( pen-and-paper-based test ) for 3 hours. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) conducts the GSEB GUJCET exam 2024 and the counselling process in offline mode.

GUJCET B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Indian nationals are eligible to appear in the exam.

• State Eligibility: The candidate needs to be a bona-fide resident of Gujarat. In such cases where the candidate is a bona-fide resident but is residing in another, the candidate is eligible to appear in the admission process.

• Academic Qualification: The candidates must have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/CBSE Delhi/CISCE New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board. Candidates who are appearing in their final exam in 2020 are also eligible.

• Qualifying Marks: Minimum required aggregate score in 45% marks (reserved category candidates need 40% marks).

• Nationality – Indian citizens are eligible.

• State Eligibility – The candidate must be a resident of Gujarat. If the candidate is a bona-fide resident but is residing in another, in such cases also the candidate is eligible to appear in the exam.

• Academic Qualification – The candidates must have passed the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/CBSE Delhi/CISCE New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board. Candidates who are appearing in their final exam in 2020 are also eligible. The candidate must have studied Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of Maths or Biology.

• Qualifying Marks – Minimum required aggregate score in 45% marks ( reserved category candidates need 40% marks).

Steps to fill GUJCET Application Form 2024

The step-wise process to fill the application form for GUJCET 2024 is given below for reference:

• GUJCET Registration: Candidates have to register by entering the required details.
  
• Payment of fee: Next, candidates have to log in and pay the application fee of GUJCET 2024 online mode. The payment of Rs. 300 will be allowed through SBI Epay System (credit card/debit card/net banking) or from any SBI branch of the Country through the SBI Epay Option of “SBI Branch Payment.” The late fee is Rs. 1500 (Rs. 300 + Rs. 1200).
• Filling out GUJCET 2024 Application Form: In this step, the candidate will have to enter their personal, academic, and contact details. 
• Uploading of documents: Candidates have to upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

GUJCET Unofficial Answer Key 2023

The exam conducting authority will announce the GUJCET  result date on the official website. Applicants who appear for the Gujarat cet exam will be able to check their results once it is declared. The merit list of GUJCET 2024 will be prepared by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) for shortlisting candidates for the counselling process. The final GUJCET merit list will be prepared by giving 60% weightage to 10+2th (or equivalent) percentile and 40% weightage to the GUJCET percentile. Candidates who are ranked high in the GUJCET merit list 2024 will be called first for counselling, and thus stand a better chance of getting a preferred seat.

The GUJCET participating institutes determines the institute-wise cutoffs of GUJCET 2024 for admission to various B.Tech/B.E courses offered by them. GUJCET 2024 cutoff will also be category- and branch-specific, which is generally the minimum marks below which admission is not offered. 

So, candidates need to score equal to or higher than the GUJCET cutoff 2024 for the specific institute and branch. Considering the cutoffs are prepared based on parameters like a number of sanctioned seats, applications received for admission, and the reputation of the institute, they tend to vary from one another.

ACPC will start the GUJCET counselling registration process on the official website. Candidates who completed the GUJCET counselling registration were able to fill the choice in online mode. The link for choice filling will be available on the official website. The counselling and seat allotment of GUJCET 2024 will be held in two rounds with an additional mock round.

GUJCET 2024 Seat Allotment

ACPC will release the GUJCET seat allotment result 2024 in online mode. The candidate who will be allotted a seat will have the option to freeze (accept) the seat or opt for up-gradation.  If the seats remain vacant after students withdraw, additional spot/institute level, separate counselling will also be conducted. The counseling process is then followed by admission formalities for shortlisted candidates and payment of the GUJCET course fee.
