MHT CET 2021 Latest News - Application Form (Soon), Exam Dates, Patten, Syllabus

MHT CET 2021 is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. MHT CET is conducted for admission to B.Tech and B.Pharm courses offered by the participating institutes of the state. The MHT CET 2021 application form will be available on the official website mahacet.org. The MHT CET exam will be conducted tentatively in the 2nd week of April 2021 in 166 exam centres in India. As per the previous year's MHT CET exam dates, the entrance exams will be held separately for the PCM group and PCB group.

According to the MHT CET exam pattern 2021, the test will include two sections - Section 1 for Physics & Chemistry and Section 2 for Mathematics. The MHT CET 2021 admit card will be released in online mode tentatively in the 1st week of January. The result of MHT CET will be published tentatively in the first week of June. 

On the basis of marks secured by the candidates in MHT CET 2021, the authorities will prepare a merit list. Candidates who will be listed in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the MHT CET counselling and seat allotment process. As per the previous year's statistics, there will be approximately 342 MHT CET 2021 Participating Institutions.

The authorities will release the eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2021 on the official websites. There are certain conditions and requirements that candidates have to meet to be eligible for admission. Candidates failing to meet any MHT CET 2021 criteria will lead to the rejection of candidature. Candidates should check the prescribed eligibility criteria before filling the application form.

A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

Maharashtra CET Cell will release the MHT CET application on its official website only - mahacet.org. The MHT CET 2021 application form will be available in online mode. Candidates should keep all the required documents ready before filling the application form. 

Documents to keep ready before filling MHT CET application form 2021,

• Email lD of Parents (Optional)
• Valid Photo ID proof
• Domicile certificate of State
• Class 10 and 12 certificates
• Credit/Debit card or Internet Banking details for payment.

1st Step: Registration - In the first step, candidates have to first register for MHT CET 2021. For registration, candidates have to verify their mobile number and email Id by entering the OTP. After verification, candidates are required to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender along with creating a username and password.  

NOTE: Password should have a minimum of 8 characters including one special character, one alphabet, and one number.

2nd Step: Filling application form- After successful registration, candidates have to log in to the candidate portal with the username and password created during registration. After successful login, candidates are required to fill in the personal, educational, and communication details of the application form.

3rd Step: Uploading Scanned Images - In this step, candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

4th Step: Payment of Fees - In the next step, candidates have to pay the application fees of MHT CET 2021 online mode through debit/credit card or internet banking.

5th Step: Print of Application Form - Finally, candidates are advised to take a print of the completely filled application form.

Application Fees

The authorities will release the MHT CET exam pattern 2021 along with the brochure. The exam will have multiple-choice questions which will be based on the syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. 

Also, 20% weightage will be given to the questions from the Class 11th syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to the questions from the Class 12th syllabus while setting the paper. The following table can be referred to understand the exam pattern of MHT CET 2021.

MHT CET 2021 Paper Pattern

Note: Candidates must note that for the first 90 minutes only Physics and Chemistry will be enabled. After completion of the first 90 minutes, Mathematics will be enabled. 

The authorities will release the MHT CET mock test 2021 in online mode only. Candidates can attempt this mock test in online mode by simply clicking on the “PCM mock link” on the official website. Candidates will not be required to enter any login credentials, they will simply have to click on “Sign In” button to attempt the mock test.

• The general instructions along with other details will be displayed on the screen.
• Click on “Next”, read the declaration and click on “I am ready to begin”.
• The page will be redirected to mock test.

MHT CET Sample Papers

The authorities will release the admit card on the official website. MHT CET admit card 2021 for PCM group will be released for PCM group and PCB group separately. MHT CET 2021 admit card download link is active. Candidates can able to download their admit cards through candidate MHT CET login.

MHT CET admit card will include the details about the exam centre, date and time of the examination along with other details related to the exam. It is an important document and must be carried to the exam centre along with a valid Id proof.

• Enter application number or hall ticket number and select subject

Valid Id Proofs to be carried to MHT CET exam centre

Candidates can carry any one of the following Id proof to the exam centre,

• PAN Card 
• Indian Passport 
• Driving License
• Voter’s Card
• Bank Passbook with Photograph
• Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with a photograph
• Recent Identity Card issued by a recognized School/College
• Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar Card print with a photograph 

NOTE: Candidates must note that Ration Card and Learning Driving License are not valid ID proof for MHT CET 2021. Also, Persons with Disabilities who have opted for a scribe will have to carry a valid disability certificate to the exam centre.

MHT CET admit card - Sample

The authorities will release the answer key of MHT CET online mode. Candidates will be able to download the answer key and response sheet by entering the MHT CET 2021 registration ID and password. Candidates will be allowed to raise objections to the provisional answer key within the specified limit in online mode. Candidates will also be required to submit documents in support of their objections. The authorities will release the final answer key of MHT CET 2021 after considering the objections if any.

Steps to download MHT CET response sheet 2021

• Visit the official website 
• Click on “Download Students Response Sheet” link
• Enter the Registration Id and password.
• Click on the "Submit" button.
• MHT CET 2021 response sheet will be displayed on the screen.
• Download the response sheet and take a print to calculate the score.

The authorities will declare the MHT CET result on the official website. Candidates can check the result by logging in to the result portal. MHT CET 2021 result is declared in percentile and includes the subject-wise and total percentile scores of the candidates.

• Click on the result/score card link. (It will be updated)
• Enter roll number and captcha.
• Click on the ‘Search’ tab.
• MHT CET result 2021/score card will appear on the screen
• Review the result and download the same in PDF format.
• Take a print out of the result for future reference.

The authorities will release the cutoff of MHT CET 2021 for all the rounds of counselling in online mode. The cutoff will be the minimum marks required by the candidates to be considered for admission. 

Candidates who will fail to meet the cutoff will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of the admission process. MHT CET 2021 cutoff will act as a screening process for admissions into the institutes. 

MHT CET Cut Off - Previous Year's

Mode of Counselling: Online

The CET Cell will begin the MHT CET counselling 2021 in online mode. Candidates have to register for counselling with in the scheduled dates. There will be two rounds of MHT CET counselling 2021 and one separate round for J&K and Ladakh candidates. MHT CET 2021counselling include the following steps:

• Registration - Firstly, candidates will have to register online by entering all the required details such as personal details, contact details, category details, and answering security questions. 
• Qualification & examination details - Candidates will also be required to enter the academic and qualification details such as class 10th and 12th details. 
• Uploading documents - In the next step, scanned photograph and signature according to the specifications have to be uploaded. 

Document Specification

• Payment of counselling fee - There is no counselling fee for MHT CET 2021 qualified candidates. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores must, however, pay the counselling fee. Also, it should be noted that the fees paid for MHT-CET shall be considered while payment of fees. If the candidate has paid Rs. 600 for MHT-CET and now is considered as OPEN, then the system shall ask for Rs. 200 difference. The difference is to be paid.

• Print out of counselling registration form - After making the payment, candidates should take a printout of the MHT CET 2021 counselling registration form. 
• Reporting at facilitation centres - Next, candidates will have to report at their designated facilitation centres for the verification of the documents. Candidates should carry original documents for verification. 
• Choice filling - After completing the above-mentioned steps, candidates will be required to do the choice filling by choosing the names of colleges and courses in the order of their preference.

MHT CET 2021 Seat Allotment 

After completing the counselling process, the authorities will conduct seat allotment through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in online mode in two rounds and one separate for J&K and Ladakh candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and choice filling done by the candidates.

To check the allotted seat, candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. Finally, all the seat allotted candidates will have to download their allotment letter and report to the centre to select their preferred option (freeze, float or slide) for the seat allotted.
