MHT CET 2024 - The State CET Cell, Maharashtra will soon commence the MHT CET 2024 registration process in December 2023. The authority announced the tentative MHT CET 2024 exam date on the official website. MHT CET exam for BTech admission will be held from April 16 to May 2, 2024. The authority will soon release the official Maharashtra CET 2024 notification at cet.mahacet.org. Candidates have to fill out the MHT CET 2024 application form to sit for the exam. The application form for MHT CET 2024 is expected to be available on the website in March 2024. To qualify for the MHT CET 2024, candidates in the general category must have a qualifying percentage of 45%, while candidates in the reserved category must have a qualifying percentage of 40%. Candidates are advised to follow the MHT CET 2024 syllabus and exam pattern for exam preparation. 

About MHT CET 2024

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test. MHT CET exam is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra for admission to undergraduate engineering and pharmacy courses in Maharashtra. The authority conducts the MHT CET exam once a year.

The MHT CET 2024 admit card will be issued by the CET Cell Maharashtra to all the registered candidates. Candidates will be required to carry their MHT CET admit card 2024 at the exam centre.  

Candidates will be able to download their MHT CET scorecards through the official website. Their application number and password will be required to access the MHT CET 2024 result. MHT CET is a state-level entrance examination for admission to various colleges throughout Maharashtra. Admission to these colleges is open to students from all over India.

• Nationality : The candidate must be an Indian National.

• Age Limit : No age limit prescribed to appear for MHT CET 2024

• Qualifying Exam :

  • Candidates appearing/ passed HSC or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University are eligible.

  • B.Sc degree holders with Maths in class 12th are also eligible to apply.

Only Maharashtra candidates claim any one Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

• Type A : Candidates who have passed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Or A candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra.

• Type B : A candidate who does not belong to Type-A above, but has a Father or Mother who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.

• Type C : Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted in Maharashtra before the deadline for MHT CET CAP application submission (which means the counselling application form)

• Type D : Candidates who do not fall under any above-mentioned types but has a Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

• Type E : Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

The Maharashtra CET Cell publishes the 2024 MHT CET application form on its official website. • Step 1: Registration - Candidates have to first register for MHT CET 2024. For registration, candidates will need to verify their mobile number and email Id by verifying the OTP. After verification, candidates have to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, and gender along with creating a username and password.
• Step 2: Filling application form- After successful registration of MHT CET, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal using the username and password. After log in to the candidates' panel, candidates have to add personal, educational, and communication details in the application form.

• Step 3: Uploading Scanned Images - Candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

The authorities releases the MHT CET mock test 2024 on the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates can attempt MHT CET mock test online mode by simply clicking on the "mock test link” on the MHT CET official website. Candidates will not be required to enter any login credentials, they will simply have to click on the “Sign In” button to attempt the MHT CET mock test.

The authorities will release the MHT CET 2024 cutoff with each round of seat allotment. The candidates have to meet the required cutoff to be eligible for admission into the institutes. Students are advised to check the details about the opening and closing ranks of their preferred institutes on the website regularly.

 Candidates who will fail to qualify for the cutoff will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of the admission process. The authorities conduct the MHT CET 2024 counselling for all qualified candidates. Aspirants will have to complete the MHT CET counselling registration 2024 to be eligible for the choice filling and allotment process. CET Cell Maharashtra will release the CET merit list based on which candidates will be allowed to complete web option entry. • Uploading documents - Candidates have to upload the photographs and signatures according to the specifications

• Payment of counselling fee - There is no counselling fee for MHT CET 2023 qualified candidates. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores will have to pay the counselling fee. Print out of counselling registration form - After making the payment, candidates are advised to take the printout of the MHT CET 2023 counselling registration form.

MHT CET 2024 Seat Allotment 

The seat allotment process will be through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) online mode in two rounds and one separate for J&K and Ladakh candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and choice filling done by the candidates.

Candidates will have to log in to the website using the required credentials, to check their allotted colleges and courses. Finally, candidates will have to download their allotment letter and report at the allotted centre with all certificates.
