MHT CET 2023 – The CET CELL Maharashtra has started the MHT CET registration 2023 online on the official website. The authority started the registration of MHT CET 2023 on March 08. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2023 can apply for the registration process at cetcell.mahacet.org. The application form of MHT CET 2023 will be accepted in online mode only. The candidates will be able to apply for admission to degree courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, and Pharm.D for Academic Year 2023-24. The last date to submit the MHT CET 2023 application form is Arpil 07, 2023.  Earlier the authorities had announced the MHT CET 2023 exam dates. The Maharashtra CET 2023 exam for PCM will be held from May 9 to 13, while for PCB it will be conducted from May 15 to 20. 

Before submitting MHT CET 2023 application form candidates should check the eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2023 carefully. Candidates can check the MHT CET 2023 eligibility criteria after the official notification gets released.  However, the candidates who will meet the MHT CET eligibility criteria 2023 will be able to apply for  BTech and BPharm courses. What is MHT CET Exam? 

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is a state-level exam conducted every year for admission in B.E, B.Tech, and B.Pharm courses. These courses are offered by Government and Private institutions across different states of India. The candidates of their states are also eligible to appear for the MHT CET 2023 exam. As per the statistics, 4,14,968 candidates appeared for the MHT CET 2023 exam. However, 11 students scored 100 percentile in PCM, whereas, 17 candidates secured perfect scores in PCB.

After conducting the  MHT CET 2023 exam, the answer key will be released within a few weeks of the examination. The candidates who will appear in the exam will be able to cross-check their answers. Also, the candidates can challenge the answer key, if they found any discrepancy in the answer. After the processes, the final answer key will be released by the Board and no changes or challenges will be accepted in the answer key. The final result will be announced by the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell. The merit list will be released and shortlisted candidates will be eligible for the MHT CET 2023 counselling process. The CET Cell has released the eligibility criteria for MHT CET 2023 on the official website. The candidates who will be eligible would apply for the exam. Candidates are advised to check the MHT CET eligibility criteria 2023 for admission before applying. MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2023

• Nationality: The candidate must be a national citizen of India.

• Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for MHT CET 2023

• Qualifying Exam:

  • Candidates must have passed HSC or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University.

  • Students who are appearing for their class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to apply. Diploma holders are also eligible.

  • B.Sc degree holders with Maths in class 12th are also eligible to apply for MHT CET 2023

• Subjects: Candidates must complete class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.

MHT CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria - Maharashtra State

A Candidate can claim only one Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

• Type A: Candidates who have passed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Or A candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra.

• Type B: A candidate who does not belong to Type-A above, but has a Father or Mother who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.

• Type C: Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted in Maharashtra before the deadline for MHT CET CAP application submission (which means the counselling application form)

• Type D: Candidates who do not fall under any above-mentioned types but has a Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

• Type E: Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

Steps to fill MHT CET 2023 application form

Candidates who are interested to apply for the MHT CET 2023 exam must follow the below steps and complete the MHT CET 2023 registration.

• Step 1: Registration - Candidates have to first register for MHT CET 2023. For registration, candidates will need to verify their mobile number and email Id by verifying the OTP. After verification, candidates have to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, and gender along with creating a username and password.
• Step 2: Filling application form- After successful registration of MHT CET, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal using the username and password. After log in to the candidates' panel, candidates have to add personal, educational, and communication details in the application form.

• Step 3: Uploading Scanned Images - Candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

The State cell has released the exam pattern of MHT CET 2023 along with the release of official notification on the MHT CET official website soon. The authorities will release the MHT CET mock test 2023 on the official website. Candidates can attempt MHT CET mock test online mode by simply clicking on the "mock test link” on the MHT CET official website. Candidates will not be required to enter any login credentials, they will simply have to click on the “Sign In” button to attempt the mock test.

NOTE: Candidates must note that Ration Card and Learning Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof for MHT CET 2023. Also, Persons with Disabilities will have to show their valid disability certificate to the exam centre.

The State cell will release the provisional answer key of MHT CET 2023 on the official website. The answer key will be available via online mode. Candidates will be able to download the answer key and response sheet using MHT CET 2023 registration ID and password. However, candidates will also be allowed to challenge the answer key in online mode as per schedule. The authorities will release the final answer key of MHT CET 2023 after considering the objections.

• Download the response sheet and take a print to calculate the score.

The MHT CET 2023 Cutoff will release after a few days after the exam result of MHT CET. The candidates have to qualify for the cutoff to get admission to the institutes. Students are advised to check the details about the opening and closing ranks of their preferred institutes on the website regularly.

 Candidates who will fail to qualify for the cutoff will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of the admission process. However, there will be various factors on the basis of cutoff prepared such as difficulty level of the exam, number of applicants, seat availability, and previous year's cutoff trends. Mode of Counselling: Online

The CET Cell MHT CET counselling 2023 will be conducted via online mode. The candidates who will successfully qualify for the MHT CET 2023 merit list will be eligible for MHT CET counselling and the admission process. The authorities will start the counselling process right after announcing the MHT CET 2023 result and merit list. Candidates will have to register for counselling within the scheduled dates. • Payment of counselling fee - There is no counselling fee for MHT CET 2023 qualified candidates. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores will have to pay the counselling fee. Print out of counselling registration form - After making the payment, candidates are advised to take the printout of the MHT CET 2023 counselling registration form.

MHT CET 2023 Seat Allotment 

The seat allotment process will be through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) online mode in two rounds and one separate for J&K and Ladakh candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and choice filling done by the candidates.

Candidates will have to log in to the website using the required credentials, to check their allotted colleges and courses. Finally, candidates will have to download their allotment letter and report at the allotted centre with all certificates.
