MHT CET 2024 - State Common Entrance Test Cell of Government of Maharashtra will release the official notification for Maharashtra CET 2024 soon at cetcell.mahacet.org.Candidates will be required to fill the MHT CET 2024 application form in order to appear for the examination.

The application form of MHT CET 2024 is expected to be available on the website in the month of March 2024. The application process includes filling the registration form, knowing the eligibility criteria, opting for the exam centres, etc.  Interested candidates will be able to find all the necessary information about the entrance exam on the official website cetcell,mahacet.org. 

After completing the MHT CET 2023 registration process candidates are advised to note down their MHT CET login IDs and password for future reference. For the general category, candidates' qualifying percentage will be 45% to qualify for MHT CET 2024 whereas the reserved category candidates will need 40% to qualify for the exam. The candidates are advised to fill out the MHT CET 2024 application form before the last date on the official website.

About MHT CET 2024

State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra conducts Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, commonly known as MHT CET every year for admission to courses like B.Tech, MCA, Pharmacy, etc.Candidates are offered admission to these courses on the basis of scores they get in the entrance examination.

CET Cell Maharashtra will issue the MHT CET 2024 admit card to all registered candidates. Candidates have to carry their MHT CET admit card 2024 at the exam centre. 

Candidates will be able to download their scorecard from the official website. The MHT CET 2024 result will be accessible using their application number and password. MHT CET is a state level entrance examination, for admission to various colleges across the state of Maharashtra. Students from all over India are eligible for admission in these colleges.

• Nationality : The candidate must be an Indian National.

• Age Limit : No age limit prescribed to appear for MHT CET 2024

• Qualifying Exam :

  • Candidates appearing/ passed HSC or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University are eligible.

  • B.Sc degree holders with Maths in class 12th are also eligible to apply.

Only Maharashtra candidates claim any one Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

• Type A : Candidates who have passed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Or A candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra.

• Type B : A candidate who does not belong to Type-A above, but has a Father or Mother who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.

• Type C : Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted in Maharashtra before the deadline for MHT CET CAP application submission (which means the counselling application form)

• Type D : Candidates who do not fall under any above-mentioned types but has a Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

• Type E : Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

CET Cell of Maharashtra will release the MHT CET application form 2024 on the official website. Candidates who are interested to apply for the MHT CET 2024 exam must follow the below steps and complete the  registration.

• Step 1: Registration - Candidates have to first register for MHT CET 2024. For registration, candidates will need to verify their mobile number and email Id by verifying the OTP. After verification, candidates have to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, and gender along with creating a username and password.
• Step 2: Filling application form- After successful registration of MHT CET, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal using the username and password. After log in to the candidates' panel, candidates have to add personal, educational, and communication details in the application form.

• Step 3: Uploading Scanned Images - Candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

The authorities will release the MHT CET mock test 2024 on the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org. Candidates can attempt MHT CET mock test online mode by simply clicking on the "mock test link” on the MHT CET official website. Candidates will not be required to enter any login credentials, they will simply have to click on the “Sign In” button to attempt the mock test.

NOTE: Candidates must note that Ration Card and Learning Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof for MHT CET 2024. Also, Persons with Disabilities will have to show their valid disability certificate to the exam centre.

The authorities will release the MHT CET 2024 cutoff with each round of seat allotment. The candidates have to meet the required cutoff to be eligible for admission into institute. Students are advised to check the details about the opening and closing ranks of their preferred institutes on the website regularly.

 Candidates who will fail to qualify for the cutoff will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of the admission process. The authorities will conduct the MHT CET 2024 counselling for all qualified candidates. Aspirants will have to complete the MHT CET counselling registration 2024 to be eligible to choice filling and allotment process. CET Cell Maharashtra will release the CET merit list based on which candidates will be allowed to complete web option entry. • Registration - Candidates have to register online for the counselling process. Fill in all the mandatory fields such as personal details, contact details, and category details, and answer security questions. 

• Qualification & examination details - Candidates are be required to enter the academic and qualification details such as class 10th and 12th details. 

• Uploading documents - Candidates have to upload the photographs and signatures according to the specifications

• Payment of counselling fee - There is no counselling fee for MHT CET 2023 qualified candidates. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores will have to pay the counselling fee. Print out of counselling registration form - After making the payment, candidates are advised to take the printout of the MHT CET 2023 counselling registration form.

• Reporting at facilitation centres - Candidates will have to report at their designated facilitation centres for the verification of the documents. Candidates should carry original documents for verification.
• Choice filling - Candidates will have to choose the colleges and courses as per their preference.

MHT CET 2024 Seat Allotment 

The seat allotment process will be through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) online mode in two rounds and one separate for J&K and Ladakh candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and choice filling done by the candidates.

Candidates will have to log in to the website using the required credentials, to check their allotted colleges and courses. Finally, candidates will have to download their allotment letter and report at the allotted centre with all certificates.
