MHT CET 2023 Exam - Dates, Answer Key (Out), Result, Cut Off, Eligibility

MHT CET 2023 – The CET Cell Maharashtra has released the MHT CET 2023 answer key on May 26 at the official website. Candidates can check their answer keys of MHT CET 2023 using roll number and password. The candidates who appeared in the exam can cross-check their answers. Candidates can also raise objections on the answer key from May 26 to 28. After the processes, the final answer key will be released by the Board and no changes or challenges will be accepted in the answer key. The final result of MHT CET will be announced by the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell. The authorities will announce the MHT CET 2023 result on June 12. The MHT CET 2023 PCM exam was conducted from May 15 to 20. 

The merit list will be released and shortlisted candidates will be eligible for the MHT CET 2023 counselling process. MHT CET 2023 merit list will be prepared based on obtained marks by the candidates in the entrance exam.

What is MHT CET Exam? 

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is a state-level exam conducted every year for admission in B.E, B.Tech, and B.Pharm courses. These courses are offered by Government and Private institutions across different states of India. The candidates of their states are also eligible to appear for the MHT CET 2023 exam. As per the statistics, 4,14,968 candidates appeared for the MHT CET 2023 exam. However, 11 students scored 100 percentile in PCM, whereas, 17 candidates secured perfect scores in PCB.

Candidates were allowed to submit the MHT CET 2023 application form with a late fine till April 15. The registration of MHT CET 2023 commenced on March 08. The eligible candidates could apply for MHT CET 2023 registration at cetcell.mahacet.org. The application form of MHT CET 2023 was accepted in online mode only. MHT CET allow candidates to get admission to degree courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, and Pharm.D for Academic Year 2023-24. 

Before submitting MHT CET 2023 application form candidates should check the eligibility criteria of MHT CET 2023 carefully. For the general category, candidates' qualifying percentage will be 45% to qualify for MHT CET 2023 whereas the reserved category candidates will need 40% to qualify for the exam. • Nationality: The candidate must be a national citizen of India.

• Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for MHT CET 2023

• Qualifying Exam:

  • Candidates must have passed HSC or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized University.

  • Students who are appearing for their class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to apply. Diploma holders are also eligible.

  • B.Sc degree holders with Maths in class 12th are also eligible to apply for MHT CET 2023

• Subjects: Candidates must complete class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.

MHT CET 2023 Eligibility Criteria - Maharashtra State

A Candidate can claim only one Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

• Type A: Candidates who have passed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State. Or A candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra.

• Type B: A candidate who does not belong to Type-A above, but has a Father or Mother who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possesses a Domicile Certificate.

• Type C: Candidates who do not fall in Type A or Type B but their mother or father is a Government of India or Government of India Undertaking employee. Either of the parents should be posted in Maharashtra before the deadline for MHT CET CAP application submission (which means the counselling application form)

• Type D: Candidates who do not fall under any above-mentioned types but has a Father or Mother who is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

• Type E: Candidates who have passed SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

The authorities closed the MHT CET 2023 correction facility from April 26. Candidates could also make changes to their subject groups on April 26 itself. The last date to fill the MHT CET 2023 application form was April 15 (with late fee of Rs 500). Candidates could apply for MHT CET 2023 application before the deadline. Steps to fill MHT CET 2023 application form

Candidates who are interested to apply for the MHT CET 2023 exam must follow the below steps and complete the MHT CET 2023 registration.

• Step 1: Registration - Candidates have to first register for MHT CET 2023. For registration, candidates will need to verify their mobile number and email Id by verifying the OTP. After verification, candidates have to enter their name, Father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, and gender along with creating a username and password.
• Step 2: Filling application form- After successful registration of MHT CET, candidates will have to log in to the candidate portal using the username and password. After log in to the candidates' panel, candidates have to add personal, educational, and communication details in the application form.

• Step 3: Uploading Scanned Images - Candidates have to upload the scanned images of their photograph, signature, and PDF file of their photo ID proof as per the specifications provided by the authorities.

The State cell has released the exam pattern of MHT CET 2023 along with the release of official notification on the MHT CET official website soon. The authorities will release the MHT CET mock test 2023 on the official website. Candidates can attempt MHT CET mock test online mode by simply clicking on the "mock test link” on the MHT CET official website. Candidates will not be required to enter any login credentials, they will simply have to click on the “Sign In” button to attempt the mock test.

MHT CET Sample Papers

Candidates has released download MHT CET 2023 admit card PCM on May 4 at MHT CET official website- cetcell.mahacet.org 2023. To download MHT CET 2023 admit card candidates have to log in through the application number and date of birth. MHT CET admit card 2023 has been released for the PCM group while for PCB group will be released on May 10.

NOTE: Candidates must note that Ration Card and Learning Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof for MHT CET 2023. Also, Persons with Disabilities will have to show their valid disability certificate to the exam centre.

The State cell has released the provisional answer key of MHT CET 2023 on the official website. The answer key is available via online mode. Candidates can download the answer key and response sheet using MHT CET 2023 registration ID and password. The MHT CET 2023 Cutoff will release after a few days after the exam result of MHT CET. The candidates have to qualify for the cutoff to get admission to the institutes. Students are advised to check the details about the opening and closing ranks of their preferred institutes on the website regularly.

 Candidates who will fail to qualify for the cutoff will not be eligible to participate in the further rounds of the admission process. However, there will be various factors on the basis of cutoff prepared such as difficulty level of the exam, number of applicants, seat availability, and previous year's cutoff trends. Mode of Counselling: Online

• The CET Cell MHT CET counselling 2023 will be conducted via online mode. The candidates who will successfully qualify for the MHT CET 2023 merit list will be eligible for MHT CET counselling and the admission process. The authorities will start the counselling process right after announcing the MHT CET 2023 result and merit list. Candidates will have to register for counselling within the scheduled dates. There will be two rounds of MHT CET counselling 2023 and one separate round for J&K and Ladakh candidates. The details will be shared on the website soon.

• Payment of counselling fee - There is no counselling fee for MHT CET 2023 qualified candidates. Candidates applying on the basis of JEE Main scores will have to pay the counselling fee. The seat allotment process will be through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) online mode in two rounds and one separate for J&K and Ladakh candidates. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and choice filling done by the candidates.

Candidates will have to log in to the website using the required credentials, to check their allotted colleges and courses. Finally, candidates will have to download their allotment letter and report at the allotted centre with all certificates.
