TISSNET 2023 Exam: Registration (Extended), Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern, Question Papers

TISSNET 2023: Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) will begin the online pre-admission orientation programme for SC/ST/OBC/Minority and PWD candidates from February 18 to 19 and it will be held at Mumbai/Tuljapur/Hyderabad and Guwahati Campuses. TISS has closed the deadline to submit the TISSNET 2023 registration form on February 1, 2023. Candidates could fill TISSNET 2023 application form by visiting the official website before the deadline.

The TISSNET 2023 will be held at 40 test centres across the country. The programmes are offered at five (6) of TISS centres which are – TISS Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai (Banyan), Guwahati, MGAHD Nagaland and Tuljapur. TISSNET 2023 exam date for MA admission is February 25, 2023.

About TISSNET

Tata Institute of Social Science conducts Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test for admission to MA programmes offered at various TISS campuses. TISSNET is a computer-based examination that is held for a duration of 1 hour 40 minutes. The question paper of TISSSNET will be divided into three parts, General Awareness, English Proficiency and Mathematics and Logical Reasoning. The question paper consists of 100 questions and the medium of the examination is English. There will be no negative marking in TISSNET examination. To qualify the TISSNET exam, candidates must score at least the sectional cut off marks. The examination is held in around 40 exam centres around the country.

The TISSNET eligibility criteria 2023 is the age limit and minimum academic qualification that candidates must meet to be considered eligible for admission to MA programs offered at numerous TISS campuses. The eligibility criteria of the TISSNET 2023 has been laid down by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). Before applying for TISSNET 2023, candidates must check the eligibility criteria to avoid rejection. The TISSNET 2023 eligibility criteria is as follows:

• Candidates who are in the final year of their UG course can apply for TISSNET 2023 but they will have to submit their final year examination result on the date prescribed by the exam conducting body. Until then, the admission will be provisional; if a candidate fails to do so, the admission will be canceled.
• Candidates with three years of undergraduate degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply

TISS has started the TISSNET application process 2023 on December 14, 2022. Candidates interested to take admission in TISS could submit the TISSNET 2023 application form  till February 1, 2023. During the TISSNET application process 2023, candidates have to enter their personal and academic details in the application form. They also need to upload all the required documents and certificates in the prescribed size. Candidates are allowed to apply for three programmes in any of the two campuses of TISS in one application form. However, they must pay the application fee for all the three opted programmes. Candidates are advised to not fill more than one application form or else it might lead to the cancellation of all the forms.

• Income certificate (SC/ST/OBC–NC) in pdf format
• Caste certificate for SC/ST and non-creamy layer certificate for OBC candidates in pdf format
• Certificate of disability for differently-abled candidates in pdf format
• TISS copy of challan if paid by cash

• Signature 

How to apply for TISSNET 2023 – Online mode

Step 2. Register by clicking on 'New User? Register here.'

Step 3. Type in all the details and click on 'Submit'

Step 4. Log in with the provided TISS login credentials

Step 7. Pay the application fee via Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking

Step 8. Printout multiple copies of the application form for future references  

How to apply for TISSNET 2023 -  Offline mode

Candidates who are not able to access the internet or live in remote areas can fill the TISSNET 2023 application form in offline mode by taking a printout of the form. They also have to follow the same procedure as given to online applicants. Candidates can pay the application fee in cash at any branch of SBI. Attach all the required documents and paste the photograph. Check the form properly and then post it to the official address -

All the interested candidates who want to qualify TISSNET 2023 must go through the exam pattern and prepare accordingly. Candidates must also solve previous years’ question papers and take mock tests for better results. TISSNET include questions from English, Logical Reasoning and General Awareness.  Candidates are advised to read newspapers, stay updated about the latest events and practice Class 10^th, and 12^th Maths. Students should keep the following preparation points in mind:

• Make a proper schedule and follow it
• Candidates should start with the easiest portion as that will motivate them to practice further
• Take proper sleep 
• Do not stress yourself 
• Keep the last few months for revision

TISS Management Aptitude Test (TISS-MAT)

TISS conducts a test known as TISS Management Aptitude Test for admission to MA (HRM & LR) and/or MA (ODCL) programmes. The TISSMAT 2023 examination take place just after TISSNET 2023 exam. The score of TISS-MAT will be considered for shortlisting in stage 2 along with the programme aptitude test and personal interview. TISS-MAT is given the weightage of 30%. Exam Pattern of TISS-MAT 2023

The TISSNET admit card 2023 can be downloaded from February 16 in online mode. Registered candidates will be able to download the TISSNET 2023 admit card by visiting the official website of TISS and enter their login credentials on the admit card login window. Without the TISSNET admit card 2023, candidates will not be allowed to enter their exam centre. They will also need to bring one government photo identity card such as voter id, Aadhaar card, passport, PAN card to the exam centre on the day of examination.

The TISSNET 2023 admit card will carry various key details such as candidate's name, photograph, signature, the address of the venue, time of the exam and name of the programme applied for. The institute will not send the admit card of TISSNET 2023 via post or courier. In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, candidates must contact the TISS officials.

Steps to download the TISSNET 2023 Admit Card

Step 2. Enter the username ID and password in the given space.

Step 3. Click on the 'Login' tab.

Step 4. The admit card will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5. Check all the details printed on admit card

Step 6. Take multiple copies for future references

TISSNET 2023 result will be announced in online mode. The candidates who clear the qualifying marks are eligible for admission to the further round of admission. Candidates can check the TISSNET result 2023 on the official website by using their email id and password. TISSNET 2023 result has been released in the form of a score card. 

The result of TISSNET 2023 mention the details such as candidates score, qualifying status for PIT and PI, and category-wise cut off marks. Candidates who will be shortlisted after the result declaration will have to appear in the programme aptitude test and personal interview.  They can also check if they have been shortlisted for the programme aptitude test and personal TISS interview 2023 through qualifying status. Shortlisted candidates for TISSNET 2023 need to physically be present for the original document verification and payment of fees.

All the appearing candidates have to secure more than or equal to the TISSNET 2023 cutoff in order to go for the next round of selection procedure. The cutoff of TISSNET varies for each category. Candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks in TISSNET 2023 will be short-listed for next round of selection process namely-programme aptitude test/group discussion and personal interview. 

TISS selection process 2023 include two stages – NET (National Entrance Test) and Online Assessments (OA).  Candidates need to do well in all the stages of the TISSNET 2023 selection process. The weightage given to each exam is given below -                     

TISSNET (National Entrance Test) 2023

To get admission into TISS, candidates have to qualify the first stage of the TISSNET 2023 selection process that is NET. They need to secure at least  45% (for others) and 35% (for SC/ST) in the TISSNET 2023 exam. All the qualifying candidates in TISSNET 2023 will be called for the next round, that is PI.

Online Assessments (OA)

After the entrance test, candidates have to appear for online assessments which includes extempore reflection and personal interview where they are asked questions related to their course, academic details, work experience if any. 

If shortlisted in TISSNET 2023, candidates have to undergo all the stages of the selection process and have to give their best for final selection.
