West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will be conducting common entrance examination called WBJEE on February 2, 2020 for admissions to the undergraduate courses in engineering and pharmacy in the state. The entrance exam is commonly called as West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE). Candidates have to appear in the Paper-I (Mathematics) and Paper-II (Physics & Chemistry-combined) for admission in Engineering, Technology and Pharmacy courses while candidates appearing only in paper 2 will get admission only in Pharmacy courses being offered at Universities, Government Colleges, and Self Financing Engineering and Technological institutes of West Bengal.Architecture admissions are through NATA while medical admissions are through NEET UG. The application form of WBJEE 2020 is now available from October 18 to November 13, 2019. The admit card will be available from January 27, 2020. The result of WBJEE 2020 will be announced in the form of the rank card.

There will be two papers in WBJEE 2020: Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry Combined). Participants taking part in both paper and getting ranked will be eligible for admission in BTech/Pharmacy/Architecture courses. WBJEE 2020 Eligibility criteria differs from course to course. Candidates who appear for Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry Combined) can apply for only pharmacy courses while candidates who appear for both Paper 1 & 2 can apply for engineering courses as well. The eligibility criteria for WBJEE 2020 for the B.Pharm courses are:

The application form of WBJEE 2020 is now available in online mode. Candidates will be required to submit the application form on or before the last date allotted by the authorities. The application correction window will be open where all mistakes can be rectified. Check the steps given below to complete the application process.
WBJEE 2020 Application process
Registration: The first step is to register online. Candidates have to be very careful while filling the information while registering because the information entered at this stage i.e. applicant's name, mother's name, date of birth, father's name etc., will not be available for editing later.
Entering the details: The candidates have to enter the details related to eligibility, course, city and communication etc.
Document Uploading: After entering the required details the candidates have to upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
Application fee and confirmation: In order to complete the online application process candidates have to pay the application fee by using online (credit/ debit card or net banking) or offline mode. Once the form is submitted candidates are advised to take a print out of the confirmation page and keep it safely for future reference.
Application Fee: Rs. 700 (General candidates) Rs. 500 (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B Candidates)
Aspirant should make themselves familiar with the syllabus of all subjects of WBJEE 2020 and prepare for them according to their grasp and weightage given to the subjects. Practising a lot with the help of papers of previous years and sample papers in will help a lot in improving aspirants performance. Students should analyze their performance after solving every sample paper and then try to work on the topics which need more attention in order to cracking the exam WBJEE 2020.
In order to crack any exam gathering information about the exam pattern, sections, weightage, evaluation schem, duration, plays very important role. The exam will be held in offline mode and it will comprise multiple choice questions. There will be two papers in WBJEE 2020; Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry combine). Candidates taking part in Paper 2 will be able to take admission in pharmacy courses only, candidates taking part in Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be eligible for taking admission in Architecture/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy courses. Aspirants taking part in only paper 1 will not get any Rank.
Candidates will get 120 minutes for each paper i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
For category 1 questions there will be just one correct option, 1 mark will be given for a correct answer while an incorrect answer will fetch -0.25 marks.For category 2 questions there will be just one correct option and 2 marks will be given for a correct answer while an incorrect answer will fetch -0.5 marks.For category 3 questions there will be one or more options can correct and 2 marks will be given for correct answer while incorrect answer will fetch 0 marks while for partially correct answers candidates will get marks as per this formula: 2 x (no. of correct options marked/total no. of correct options).
Question Paper Pattern of WBJEE 2020
Admit card for WBJEE 2020 will be released on January 27. Candidates will have to login and download it. It must be noted that the admit card is a very important document for appearing in the exam, no candidate will be allowed to take part in WBJEE 2020 without admit card. Details like roll no. and allotted exam centre to participant will be mentioned on the admit card. Aspirants are required to read the information provided in admit card of WBJEE 2020 and follow them carefully.
The provisional answer keys will be released by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB). After WBJEE 2020, image of OMR Sheets and answers read by machine are also made available on board's website, with the help of application number and password students can view it and if they are not happy with captured answers, they can file their challenge online after paying stipulated fee of Rs 500 per question. The challenges are reviewed and final answer keys of WBJEE 2020 will be uploaded. The final answer key of WBJEE 2020 will be released after the objections are checked.
WBJEE 2020 result will be declared in online mode. It is released in the form of a rank card. Information about the score, total and of Paper 1 and 2; and concerned ranks according to the papers will be present in the rank card of WBJEE 2020. With the help of their application number, password and security ID, candidates can download and view their rank card.
WBJEE 2020 cutoff score will be released along with the seat allotment. It is the minimum mark which aspirants will have to gain to be eligible for taking part in counselling and seat allocation process for available various course. The cutoff score for taking admission in Technology/ Engineering/ Architecture and Pharmacy will differ from each other. The board will declare cutoff score for both the papers. If candidates have appeared for only Paper 2 and scored above the cutoff only then he/ she will be allotted Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR). Candidates having appeared in exam of Paper 1 and Paper 2 and scoring above the cutoff mark will get General Merit Rank (GMR) and PMR both. Those candidates will not get any rank who will take part in only Paper 1. Depending upon the category of candidate, selected course and Institute cutoff mark will be different.
Mode of Counselling:
For taking admission in institute and course of their choice, all GMR and PMR holders of WBJEE 2020 will have to participate in the counselling process. Verification of documents is done only during the counselling and admission process and registration with the university. So, it's a necessary step towards taking admission. No candidate will be given admission without taking part in counselling of WBJEE 2020. Before counselling and allotment, the seat matrix comprising information about the institute and course wise availability of seats will be published on the board's site. Participants can make use of this for selecting an appropriate option for themselves.
These are the steps for taking part in the counselling process of WBJEE 2020:
Registration and payment of counselling fee: Eligible candidates need to register online for taking part in the counselling process by submitting the required information. In order to register for counselling, process candidates are supposed to pay Rs. 500 and applicable charge towards the counselling fee of WBJEE 2020 through Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Participants Identity code and password will be created.
Online choice filling and locking: As per their choice, the participant can select course and institute and lock them before the last date fixed in this regard. Participants should keep a copy of the locked options with them for future reference.
Allotment of seat and verification: Candidates are allotted a seat in an institute as per the availability in the order of merit. Those candidates who got allocated a seat in the first round should pay required provisional admission fee online and then physically report to the reporting centre for verification of documents with original and copies of required documents; they can exercising seat confirmation or up-gradation option at centre. Candidates who will not report to their centres may get their allotted seats cancelled and they will be dropped out from the upcoming online counselling rounds.
The second round of WBJEE 2020 seat allotment will be conducted for the seats remaining vacant after the first round of reporting. The third round of WBJEE 2020 seat allotment result will be published for the seats remaining vacant after the second round of reporting. Finally, mop up round of e-counselling will be conducted for registered candidates.
