Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), along with eight Indian Universities has joined a consortium of 12 European Universities.  Dr. Neela Dabir, Faculty, TISS stated, "This is the first time we have received such a large-scale scholarship offered by European universities.  It will facilitate the mobility of 300 students and teachers from India. Around 100 from European universities will come to India." Monetarily it means that students from India in masters'''' programmes will receive 1,000 Euros, PhD students will get 1,500 Euros and faculty will get 2,500 on a monthly basis.The programmes will range between 6 to 34 months. Faculty members will get the opportunity to work at the European universities for a duration of 2-4 months, the process will begin from September 2009
