Class 10: How Can I Get 100 Marks In Maths
    Synopsis

Getting 100 marks in mathematics requires a strong understanding of the basics, persistence and dedication, and hard work. So if you’re looking for resources or tips on scoring well, go ahead and understand the approach to score a 100 per cent in Class 10 Maths.

Getting 100 marks in mathematics in Class 10 is a great achievement and can be challenging, but with dedication and hard work, it is definitely achievable. To score 100 per cent in maths, you should start by reviewing your Class 9 lessons, focusing on Linear Equations, Coordinate Geometry, Irrational numbers, Areas and Volumes, and Geometry.

Next, move on to studying the NCERT textbook for Class 10. This is your primary resource, not RD Sharma or RS Aggarwal.

Many students find Trigonometry to be challenging, but in Class 10, this is just the basics. Learn what an angle is, as well as sin, cos, tan, and their reciprocals cosec, sec, and cot. Then move on to the sin-cos relation, sec-tan relation, and cosec-cot relation. The Applications chapter will require these concepts, some basic geometry, and basic physics.

Circles will present new concepts, but a solid understanding of geometry is necessary. The same is true for Constructions, which can be lengthy and difficult.

The Areas of Circles, Surface Areas, and Volumes are formula-based. You will use the same formulas you learned in Class 9, with the exception of the frustum. Finally, Statistics and Probability will require written practice and are relatively easy.

Now let's come to know important tips to score full marks in the maths class 10 exam.

Understand The Syllabus And Marking Scheme

Understanding the syllabus is essential for scoring 100 marks in maths class 10 because it helps students identify topics and concepts that will be covered in the exam and prioritise their studies accordingly. Also, it helps to allocate sufficient time to each topic based on its weightage and importance. The following table contains the marking scheme for CBSE class 10th maths.

    Knowing The Basics

The key to getting good marks in mathematics is to understand the basics. Start by reading and understanding the formulas, theorems, and concepts. Start solving solved problems from NCERT and then solve all exercises. In the first reading, we can get just an idea of topics, and concepts. To score full marks, everything should be fingertips that require three to four revisions. So after understanding the basics start practising and doing revision.

    Solve Previous Year's Question Papers

By solving previous year's papers, students get familiar with the type of questions, marking scheme, and time constraints that they may face in the actual exams.

This helps them identify their strengths and weaknesses and work on them accordingly. Also, previous year's papers give an insight into the topics that are frequently asked in exams and the level of difficulty of questions that students may face. This helps students to prioritise their preparation and focus more on important topics.

    Make A Timetable

Do some calculations. For example how much time I have and within this time how many topics I want to cover. There are 15 chapters in maths class 10 maths. According to our capacity of retaining knowledge, plan a timetable to cover these 15 chapters. Work hard to execute this timetable.

    Train Your Brain

Understanding the algorithms of working our mind we can train our mind according to our requirements. The following are some observations that can be used in the study.

Our Mind Works As A Camera

Just by thinking about a book, we know that the image of a book comes to mind, not the word “Book”. This means our mind stores the images, not the words. We can use this in our study. For example, while studying your notes or book we can retain the formula or concept position on the page like the formula is written at the top, left side, or bottom of the page. This will help to retain the concepts and formula for a long time.

Our Mind Works Efficiently In A Specific Pressure Range

We know that some days we can solve many problems and some days we are not able to solve even one problem. Just before the quiz or midterms, our mind works so efficiently that we can cover the syllabus with a good speed. This happens because our mind works with peak efficiency in a specific pressure range. Just observe the pressure range and train the mind accordingly. Students can solve mock papers at the same time as exams. For example, if the timing of the board exam is 9 AM to 12 PM then solve mock papers daily in this time range. and train your brain to work full efficiency in this time range.

How Does Our Mind Store Information

We know that we recall events easily that are unusual or repeatedly happening. Events that are normal and not repeated become difficult to remember. This happens because when we repeat any event then it goes to the subconscious mind. The conscious mind and the subconscious mind are two different aspects of the human mind. When we just see an event or study for the first time then it goes to the conscious mind. But if we repeat or recall again and again then information is stored in the subconscious mind and becomes long-lasting. Therefore revision or practice is a must to remember formulas, concepts, and derivations during the exam.

To make the information subconscious practice as many problems as you can. Solve the mock test as you can daily in a specific time range according to the main board exam.

    Revise Through Recall

This is the best way to do revision. Even in just 30 minutes, we can recall the whole book. But this works when we have everything stored in our subconscious mind. To achieve that state starts a practice of recalling every day before going to bed. you can recall what you did today and the past seven days. If any chapter is finished then recall, what are the important concepts and formulas in this chapter. Recall the steps that are required to do a derivation or prove a theorem. If you are not able to recall anything, it means that it does not become subconscious. Open the notebook and study those concepts at that moment. If any student is following this practice daily then after some days s/he feels that everything becomes crystal clear or s/he gets an in-depth understanding of the concepts.

    Seek Help

If you are struggling with a particular concept, don't be afraid to seek help from your teacher or tutor. They can explain the concept in a different way that might make it easier for you to understand.

    Use Online Resources

There are many online resources available that can help you get better at mathematics. From online tutorials to practise exams, these resources can help you improve your skills and understanding.

    Keep Practising

The more you practise, the better you will become. Solve as many mathematical problems as you can, and make sure to practise a wide range of problems to cover all the different types of questions that can be asked. Students can use mock test papers provided by different resources. For example, a small booklet deskwork contains around 15 mock papers based on the syllabus of Class 10 maths. Try to solve all the mock papers. This will help students to understand the various types of concepts and make them aware of multiple types of silly mistakes.

    Stay Focused And Motivated

Stay focused on your goal of getting 100 marks in mathematics, and stay motivated by setting short-term goals for yourself. This will help you stay on track and keep you motivated to do your best.
