Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar started in 2008 with just three branches, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering– all core branches. It now offers six branches of BTech having added Materials Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering programmes later.
The overall placement percentage had dropped since 2018, sliding sharply from 82 percent in 2018 to a little over 69 percent in 2020-21.
Careers360 analysed the branch-wise placement offers and average salaries received by students of IIT Gandhinagar from data accessed through a Right to Information application.
The data given below is for undergraduate students over the last three years. The overall placement percentage has been decreasing since 2018.
