For the PMKVY courses, 22 per cent of the enrolled candidates were from the central states of India. Out of these, 45.36 per cent of candidates were successfully certified. Central states hold the second highest position in terms of enrollment in the PMKVY courses.
Northern states of India performed very well in PMKVY version 3.0. Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand successfully crossed the average percentage of enrollment, certified and placed candidates. Almost 52 per cent of the candidates from northern zones were certified.
South zone states of India had the lowest enrollment for the industry relevant skill development courses in the PMKVY 3.0 programme. Out of the total enrolled candidates, only about 50 per cent of the candidates were offered certification of completion in India. While in the South zone about 57 per cent of the candidates were certified.

Since 2015, lakhs of Indians have improved their skills for a better living with the help of the government scheme, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY).
