To reduce the dropout rate and help students progress to post-matric (junior college) education, the Central Government joins with the State Government to bring this scholarship to students of class 9 and 10.
Eligibility:
Be a domicile of Assam
Regular full-time student studying in Class 9 or Class 10 in a government school or a school recognised by the government or a Central/ state board of secondary education.
Parents/ guardian’s income below 2.5 lakh per annum or lower.
The student should not be getting any other Centrally funded pre-matric scholarship
NOTE: The scholarship will be available for studying for only one year in one class, if a student has to repeat the class, the scholarship will not be available.
Benefits:
Rs 255 per month for day scholars and Rs 525 per month for hostellers
Book and ad-hoc grant Rs 750 per annum for day scholars and Rs 1,000 for hostellers

The idea of this scholarship is to increase the enrollment of students who cannot support college education. This scholarship for students of north east India for post-matriculation helps them to complete their studies and go for higher studies or get good-paying jobs.

NEC aims to financially assist those students from the northeastern states who qualify the eligibility parameters set by the council and wish to complete higher education.

Have passed Class 10 and Class 12 with 60 per cent of marks

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) and the University Grant Commission (UGC) has taken a step with the Ishan Uday Scholarship to promote the economically backward category of students to pursue higher studies.
Eligibility:
Domicile of NER region
Passed Class 12 in the preceding year
Secured admission in the first year (any degree)
Family income below Rs 4.5 lakh per annum
Transgender students can apply for the scholarship
Benefits:
Rs 5,400 per month for general degree courses students
Rs 7,800 per month for technical, medical and other professional courses

The Social Welfare Department of the Government of Manipur, along with the Government of India aims to uplift the students belonging to SC by providing financial assistance to help them pursue their education.

Not a recipient of any other Centrally funded Pre Matric scholarship
Applicant needs to produce the physical copy of Aadhar or Undergo Aadhar authentication

The Government of India with the help of the state government aims to reach economically weaker sections of the Northeastern states to promote higher education amongst the youth.
Eligibility:
Only the citizens of India belonging to Scheduled Caste
The income of parents/ guardians should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum
The age limit is decided by the institutions where the student will study
Candidates who are pursuing double degrees in the same stage, for example, after completion of BA in Economics the candidate applies again for BA in any other subject or MA candidate applies for another MA in the different subject after graduation in the first, will not be able to avail this scholarship
Those pursuing correspondence/online courses from Central/state universities can avail this scholarship
The student must not be a beneficiary of any other Centrally funded scholarship
The student is allowed to accept the state's monetary help for lodging, grant, or ad hoc help.
Benefits:
Degree and postgraduate levels: Day scholars Rs 7,500 and hostellers Rs. 13,500 yearly
Other professional courses leading to certificate, degree and diploma: Day scholars Rs 6,500 and hostellers Rs 9,500 yearly
Graduate and postgraduate courses other than above: Day scholars Rs 3,000 and hostellers Rs 6,000 yearly

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India has planned to offer 15,000 scholarships to the meritorious students from OBC, De-Notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic (DNT), and Economically Backward Class (EBC) categories.
