The government of India, the state governments and other organizations provide a variety of scholarships to meritorious students. The scholarship is an award or financial assistance for students to continue higher studies. There are two ways in which a student can apply for a scholarship. The first one is through the entrance test for the respective programme and the other one is on the basis of marks obtained in the previous final examination. Let’s discuss the scholarships on the basis of merit first.
