    Synopsis

    On average 97.38 per cent of the students graduated out of the total enrolled  in the top colleges offering the four years pharmacy undergraduate programme. Among the graduates, 55.62 per cent went for higher education and around 39 per cent got a job via campus placement.

    As per the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 conducted by the Ministry of Education, 100 institutes which provide courses in pharmacy were ranked. Participating colleges filled a wide range of data regarding student intake, actual enrollment, graduating students, placement, salary and many such details for programmes offered by the institute.

    Out of these 100 pharmacists institutes, Careers360 considered the top 10 colleges which offer the four year undergraduate programme in pharmacy. Careers360 analysed the data regarding top placement performance, students graduated and students opted for higher studies. Few institutes that do not offer the four years of undergraduate programme but that were part of the top 10 colleges were left out from this analysis.

    College Placement

    After the undergraduate degree in pharmacy, most students opted for higher education, but about 39 per cent of the students from these 10 colleges found a job.

    All graduates of Panjab University, Chandigarh opted for higher education over college placement.

    Students Opted For Higher Education

    A little more than 55 per cent of the students gave the preference to higher education instead of going for work.

    Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani had the lowest number of students who chose to go for higher studies, while it also had the second highest percentage of students placed.

    Median Salary Package

    Panjab University, Chandigarh was left out from this list because none of their students opted for the placement process.

    The median salary package ranged from just Rs 3,00,000 to Rs 8,00,000 lakhs per annum.

    Most of the students who enrolled in the four years of the undergraduate programme of pharmacy opted for higher studies, as the salary offered during campus placement did not seem to be lucrative.
