Placement Report On Non IIM Management Institutes In Karnataka

Karnataka and Gujarat, both have five management institutes each, other than the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) ranked in the top 100 management institutes by the NIRF in 2022.

For the ease of analysis, in this article we will be looking at only five out of six institutes that are located in Karnataka. The institute that is being excluded is IIM Bangalore as this study focuses on management institutes other than IIMs and IITs which offer two years of management postgraduate degree.

These five management institutes in Karnataka graduated 93.35 per cent of its enrolled students in 2022. Around 75 per cent of graduated students were successfully placed and 11 per cent of students went for higher education.

Geographical Diversity

Across five colleges, a total of 6,223 students were enrolled in 2020-21. Out of these, 69 were international students. Jain University admitted the highest, i.e 66 international students in that year.

On an average around 10.7 per cent of the students chose higher education instead of going for campus placement.

Here the number of graduates are the ones who completed the programme in the minimum stipulated time of two years.

All the colleges except TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal had increased median salary over the last three years.

While Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum had the lowest salary among all the management colleges of Karnataka in the last three years.

Aspirants seeking admission into the top management colleges of Karnataka must appear for the CAT exam. CAT 2022 was held on November 27, 2022, at various locations across India. Students can also appear for Karnataka PGCET MBA 2022 entrance exam to be eligible for admission to these management colleges.
