Uttar Pradesh’s top business schools other than Indian Institute of Management (IIMs) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) together placed 82.83 per cent of their postgraduate students, enrolled in the 2020- 2022 batch. The same set of colleges graduated around 96.79 per cent of their enrolled students in the minimum stipulated time of two years for the postgraduate management programmes.
In the Ministry of Education’s National Institutional Ranking Framework 2023, a total of 100 management institutions were ranked from all over India. Out of this, nine management institutes were from Uttar Pradesh (UP). Only six made it to the top 50 list and just one in the top 10, which is IIM Lucknow.
Careers360 included top management colleges, in the state-wise analysis of placement data. IIM Lucknow and IIT Kanpur were excluded because in this article the focus is on non-IIM and non-IIT institutes that offer the postgraduate management programme.

All the non-IIM and IITs management colleges of UP had average 33.07 per cent female candidates with the highest being recorded at the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, with almost 52.63 per cent female candidates.
Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana and Karnataka had the maximum number of the ranked non-IIM management colleges. Among the colleges of these states, Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad had the third lowest percentage of female candidates, bringing the male-female ratio to 16.35.

Although all the colleges were located in UP, a large section of enrolled students come from the outside state. On average, only 31.34 per cent of the students are of UP domiciles.
With six international students, Aligarh Muslim University has the highest number of foreign students studying at their campus. Around six students are admitted into the campus. Amity University, Galgotias University and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University also had international students. The remaining institutes did not have any presence of foreign students.
