Hi.

Yes, you need to pass in both theory and practical examination.

This is because,

When you fail in theory, you fail in that subject and thus fail in class 12th.

So, you are not eligible for Neet examination even if you have got more than 50% in aggregate of PCB because you have failed in physics with 9 marks in theory examination.

For your reference,

Neet eligibility criteria is provided below:-

As per, Neet 2021 eligibility criteria to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination 2021 or should have passed 12th board examination with PCB( pass in both theory and practical individually) and English and must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

Also,

* to be eligible for neet 2021 one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December 2021

* There is no upper age limit for Neet 2021

* There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.

Abhijit Then it depends upon your class 12th results. If your result says that are pass in physics theory then you will be eligible but if it says fail or essential repeat in theory then you won't be eligible for neet.

Abhijit it says you should pass in physics, and physics means both practical and theory. when you fail any of them, you fail in the subject and thus fail to fulfil the very criteria of passing physics. Moreover, it completely depends upon your results/marksheet if you are pass in your physics in your result then you are eligible but if you are fail in physics in your result then you are not eligible.
