Hey Naresh,
Common Admission Test (CAT)is a entrance exam conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) for giving admissions to various management courses offered by the IIMs.
Some basic eligibility criterias must be fulfilled for giving this exam, those are :
  • Candidate should have obtained a Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree from any recognized university or institution.
  • Candidate should have scored minimum 50% marks in graduation ( 45% marks for SC, ST & PwD/DA candidates)
  • Candidates who are in final year of their Bachelor's degree can also apply.
  • There is no age limit to apply for CAT.
  • Reservation percentage is 7.5%, 15%, 27% & 5% for ST/ SC/ PBC/ PWD respectively. To get the reservation one must correctly fill the category in the form.
So are definitely eligible for giving CAT.
All the best!

Hello naresh ,

In order to apply to CAT you are required to meet the eligibility criteria for CAT which is as follows "Candidates belonging to the general category must score at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent CGPA to appear in CAT exam entrance exam 2019. They must have completed their graduation by an Act of the Parliament or State legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956." so yes since you have scored 52% which is above 50% you are eligible for cat, however some IIM's take 12th percentages into consideration for selection except that i dont think there is any issue regarding your application to CAT.

Hope this helps
