it is not necessary to register or appear for NEET examination to study MBBS abroad. Previously it was compulsory to qualify NEET exam to study MBBS in abroad for Indian students. This year, a one-time exemption for those who have not appeared or registered for NEET examination 2018.

This decision was taken by the council as a result of petition done by few students at Delhi High Court. The court asked the petitioners to appeal to the council.

The council mentioned that the student has to take an undertaking. The undertaking will result in taking an eligibility certificate for the students to study MBBS abroad. The council also declared that CBSE will check the originality of the certificate. If any student is found guilty of faking the certificate a stern action will be taken against him.

It depends upon your choice and budget. It is a known fact that as the budget increases, quality education also increases. So please choose any destination according to your budget.

Low budget (15L to 30L) - Russia, China, Ukraine, Philippines, Georgia

Medium budget (with good quality) (40L to 80L) - Central America, Mauritius

High budget (80L to 1.8 cr) - USA, UK, Australia

You should also go through the MCI policies for Foreign Graduates and Study MBBS in MCI Screening Exempted Countries.

As per Medical Council of India and Gazette of India dated 23/03/2011 “Screening Test Regulations, 2002 - Eligibility Criteria for OCI countries” clearly states that

“A person seeking provisional or permanent registration shall not have to qualify the MCI Screening Test if he/she holds an Under Graduate medical qualification from Australia/Canada/New Zealand/United Kingdom/United States of America and the holder thereof also been awarded a Post Graduate medical qualification in Australia/Canada/New Zealand/United Kingdom/United States of America and has been recognized for enrollment as medical practitioner in that country”.

Some of the above mentioned places may have entrance exams that you should check before taking admission. You should also check whether the medical college is approved by MCI. Other factors to be taken into consideration are living conditions, institution infrastructure & faculty, safety of students, weather conditions, hostel & fooding facility, etc
