Hello Arundathi. Well, IELTS is a language test for english proficiency. It will help you to do masters in countries where english language is a necessity. It is compulsory for students who have done their graduation in a country where english is not a primary language. This test will help your application profile, while you apply in foreign countries.
Coming to GRE, it is generally preferred for admission into masters degree in engineering or management in USA or Canada.
Hope this information helps. All the best.

Hii Arundhati
You have completed your graduation in human physiology and want to pursue Masters in the same field. So for this you have to appear for IELTS. Your IELTS score shows your proficiency in English. This is required for admission in foreign universities cause their language of instruction is in English. This is required during obtaining your Visa. Most of the European universities have made this compulsory.
GRE is also required to pursue higher education in foreign universities almost for every field. So these are not specific to engineering students and candidates aspiring for foreign universities have to appear these tests.
